my mite problem is horrible, i had the money in the bank, so i ordered an 8oz bottle of avid. i have 6 plants to treat that are finishing early next month so roughly 4 weeks. my question is: when applying, should i focus on just top and bottoms of fan leaves and avoid spraying my buds? i hear it break down in 2 weeks so will it be safe if i spray on my buds? also will this stuff turn my pistils brown or orange? i've heard soo many great stuff about avid from this site so hopefully i won't have mites crawling all over my plants breaking out when they get harvested. i've also read to not get any of the stuff on my skin while spraying since its pretty heavy, and also wear a mask ect ect. thanks guys if you have anything extra to add, that i did or did not talk about, please share ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have sprayed Avid as late as 6 weeks into flowering an 8 week strain, and I have suffered no short term ill effects. The longer interval between application and harvest the better. Avid has not discolored pistils on the plants I have sprayed Thorough coverage is always a good idea, especially when it comes to mites. Be sure to use the protective gear, and a little bit goes a long way. It works out to 1/4 tsp./ gal. of wtaer.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well i got my 8oz bottle in the mail today! instead of trying to guess 1/4th tsp, could i just use measure out 1tsp in a gallon, fill it up, pour out all but 1/4th and refill to do a 1/4th dilute? if im not mistaken that should be the same thing as 1/4th tsp. also does it matter if i spray at night or daytime? i'm probably going to spray them at night. and...is it safe to use to sprouts 2-3 weeks old? can't wait to get the stuff going, ill also post my results.

What's the matter? Did you spend all your money on Avid and now you can't afford a measuring spoon? Your method described above is terribly wasteful of the product. Get a measuring spoon. I spray during lights on under a 1000W MH and HPS without a problem. Whenever you spray make sure to get thorough coverage on all of the leaf surfaces, especially the undersides of the leaves. I have sprayed young freshly rooted clones without problems. I would not hesitate to spray the seedlings.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | haha i agree buzz, it is a waste of product but if i don't have the measuring tools then thats one way to dilute. i rather waste a little and have the right mix instead of over-dosing. but i got it mixed up and sprayed all my foliage, both sides of leaves, the buds, the stalk, any plant tissue i could soak. tomorrow ill report my mite activity after spraying. t'll be nice to have a bug-free harvest ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Be sure to give it 12 hours before re-entry. You won't believe the death and destruction you have wreaked upon the mite kingdom. Check with a lens or a microscope to be certain. You may still see a couple crawling but that is normal. Some take longer to die than the majority. Keep monitoring your plants for the next seven days after spraying. One application has always eliminated the mites for me, but I caught them early. A re-application may be necessary, you have to scout your plants to be sure. ![]()
