| I have just decided to possibly pursue interest in growing indoors. I have several questions that I need answered so I can yield the best product for personal use. So, I'm relying on all you experts out there!!! Basically my questions are: 1) What is the best type of fertilizer to use? Is Miracle Gro an option I should consider? 2) How often should I water and/or fertilize young, just started plants? 3) How much light should I use? 24 hours or just normal daytime sunlight? 4) Are there any special considerations i should take since i live at high altitudes? 5) How long till I can expect to harvest or how long to wait till harvest? 6) Any other suggestions? Thanks for takin the time to read this and help me! I really appreciate any information! Take it easy! Peace ![]() ![]() | ||

![]() | First off... check out the grow guide on this site. It is far more comprehensive than any reply on this subject could ever be. It is linked on the front page of this site. Check it out... and good luck HG

![]() | 1. Ferts depend on what stage of growth your plants are at. You want a well balanced fert for veg with plent of N P and K something like Peters 20-20-20 works well. And once you switch to flowering you need something with a little less Nitrogen and a little more Phosphate(sp)? lol I'd go with something like 10-20-30. Be careful not to over fert, its easy to burn your plants....but for the most part they'll tell you when they need fert. 2. Indoors i would water once daily and DO NOT fertilize your plants untill they are at LEAST 2-3 weeks old. And when you do, use 1/4 strength at first. I'd say fertilize once a week or once every two weeks depending on how bad they need it. 3. Lights will depend on your grow space. A general rule of thumb is 5000 lumens per square foot. I would use 24 hour light because it keeps your plants growing strong and much faster than if you wernt using 24 on. If power is a concern you may be able to get away with 18 on and 6 off. 4. High altitudes shouldn't be a problem, after all it is a type of weed that you're growing. 5. Usually a good time to start flowering would be 4-5 weeks or when they are around a foot tall. After that it usually takes anywhere from 30 days to 60 days of 12/12. 6. I suggest using HID lighting. You will only be disappointed with floros. 1 to 2 ounces are possible from a 150w hps. Just remember Light = Bud. A bigger light will give you bigger and more dense buds. A 250watt hps is a good light if heat is going to be an issue. Hope that helps ya!

![]() | Miracle grow is fine. Follw directions on box, they will be fine. Water once every 2-3 days. 24 hour light is fine until flowering where you go 12-12. Not that I know of. 2-3 months minimum. Yea, read the grow guide, it would have answered all of these questions without all the typing. ![]()

![]() | Maybe this may help: This is all personally 1. I do not use fertilizer and my plants have grown just fine. 2. I water, depending on soil wettness, once or twice a day. 3. The larger the light the better if you ask me, put it on a 24 hour cycle or on a 18/6 cycle(if you are strapped for cash) 4. Shouldn't be a problem for anything. 5. Depending on strain and how well you grow it can be anywhere from 4-6 weeks or longer. 6. Experiment with different techniques and you will soon find the one that works the best for your plants and you. The Evil One ![]()
