Thanks for the comments and help everyone.

As far as slow growth goes, the only thing i've noticed the past week is more trichs, it just blows my mind that there are always new white hairs busting out somewhere.

I am going to chop today.
It's been a loooong 20 weeks of growth. Count on me to not grow anymore bagseed.

I can't wait to some of this though

they look great man!!! wish you could just smoke up like 20 people off a joint or two and let them all see what you got!!!! oh wait, you might still do that!! congrats. hopefully my girls will turn out with some nice potency, at least compareable to yours. i'm not going to get the yield, but i'd like to do the 10-20 people getting stoned all at once thing. that would still be really cool.

Penguin, you were right about some of the older flowers starting to die.

Only in about 3 of the 15 colas did I have some dead flowers deep inside.

A week earlier may have saved that, but in that last week i noticed a lot of trichs come out on the lower buds. I ended up with 299grams wet. I expect a little more than 2 oz dried.

Am i correct in saying about 75% of the weight will be lost?

My understanding is that up to 85% of the freshly harvested bud weight is lost to evaporating H2O and other gases but as usual, there are mitigating factors.

Nice looking buds, PW!

I haven't grown sativa for years and had no plans to grow it until a friend returned from her home in the Rif mtns of Morocco and laid a few seeds on me. I planted 2 seeds and have two healthy plants (one male and one female) in veg ATM. Moroccan growing/harvesting methods haven't changed much over the past 1,000 years (the growers tend to be a conservative lot), they primarily grow for hash, but I have a special place in my heart for the country and am looking forward to seeing where I can take my unexpected gift through breeding.

Sorry for the detour ^ The pics of your beautiful buds inspired me. Thanks for sharing some of the nuances that I might be looking at w/ a sativa grow.

Yes... def old, lol. I posted a link to this thread in another thread because of a similar problem that another growing was possibly having. I read through it and got to the end and was thought "Hey, no one answered my question about the weight... ASSHOLES!" You must have felt my frustration and gave me an answer, so thank you for that.

Sometimes I don't pay attention to dates once I start reading and get all into it and then post a reply not even thinking...

This was a long while ago, here is a current journal I'm doing:

I too just got the date. But I read the whole thing first and glad I did. So what was the final weight?

I dug these up just cause you asked about the final weight. I think it was almost 3oz, but I don't remember my final weight.

It was good, didn't have a great taste though, so I ended up using my grinder and rolling up lots of joints and blunts. A very "up" high, never hit you too hard.
