I have just finished 13 weeks of flowering my bagseed sativa. Last watering I gave it 1/2 strength fox farms Cha-Ching. I was hoping to finish up as soon as the soil dries, but im thinking I still need more time. Its hard to judge - Sometimes I think next week, and sometimes, hmm maybe another week still. I've been looking at tons of threads even OzGrowas 'flowering start to finish' I have been looking at my trichs through my 60x microscope and I have very very few amber still mostly clear and cloudy - and I just finished week 13. My watering/fert schedule has been as follows for the last few weeks: 1/25 afternoon just water, light h202 1/30 afternoon just water, light h202 2/4 morning 1/4 tiger bloom, h202 2/9 Flushed afternoon 2/16 full tiger bloom 2/23 just water, cane sugar, light h202 3/1 morning 1/4tsp Cha-Ching I plan to use cha ching until harvest Today starts week 14 if anyone can judge by looking maybe give me a: "you are close" or "give them some more time." I need to make a decision on building another place for them to finish. I have 3 white widow that I started and are about 10 days old now and when they transplant I have no room for my flowering plant Some stats: Bagseed Soil: Ocean Forest 25% perlite Ferts: started out with bloodmeal tea and cal-mag for veg. Tigerbloom for flowering, cha-ching as I am finishing 150w HPS (top) 2 x 34w floros 2 x 20w floros plant/aquarium (kind of purpley, got it at the hyrdoshop) 75w 'Grow n show' (puts out a lot of heat, but its good for the buds that can barley support themselves and are hanging down Vegged 7 weeks Now starting the 14th week of flowering Here are some pics. Any insight is greatly appreciated. I can take trich shots if anyone needs them to judge, let me know where you want the pic from (top, middle, bottom)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the comments but I am far from any kind of pro, this is my first indoor grow and I don't even know when to harvest. Maybe the Mods can move this to the nursery? Im not sure if it is more suited for that forum.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Your bagseed sativa could take another month if it wants to, but given the general lack of vegetation, I doubt if she will. You can stop the nutes entirely now and start flushing. If you're starting to get red trichomes more will be on their way, so I'd put finish from now to a week from now. I would have harvested a bit sooner, I think, but you still need to flush, so get on it. The 75watt grow n show, I think its an incadescent. In which case, it isn't doing you any good and only adding heat. You seem to get the whole trichome thing, so other than that, nobody can tell you when the right time to harvest is.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Those buds look good, but what happened to the fan leaves? Have you checked the trichomes on the oldest flowers? Some pure sativas don't ripen uniformly, and can still be pushing out new growth while the oldest flowers are starting to senesce. Can you estimate the ratio of cloudy/clear trichomes? If they are mostly cloudy then you can go ahead and chop. If they are mostly clear then you should let her go a bit longer. This looks like a case where changing the flowering photoperiod to 11 on/13 off would be beneficial. ![]() penguin

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was giving them some tiger bloom so I don't thing i was depriving them of nitrogen, so I took the dying fan leaves as a sign of getting close to harvest 1st Pic is week 7 of flowering 2nd Pic is week 9 of flowering 3rd Pic is week 11 of flowering You can see the leaves slowly start to die, I am now just starting to see that in the leaves close to the bud. I think the buds look pretty good, but the genetics aren't the best I guess which i think is causing my guess on harvest time to be a little skewed The oldest flowers are less then 10% amber i would say. the amber ones are close to the edges of the leaves, must more trichs on the under side of the tiny leaves. I don't plan on flushing again, my flush on 12/9 (thought harvest was close) did not give me much/if any yellow run off, i ferted one more time, then did just water. I plan to finish with cha-ching Photoperiod change sound interesting, what are the benefits of that?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The buds do look good, that's kind of a "foxtail" bud structure that's common among sativas. How about ratio of cloudy/clear? If the bud leaves are dying back then that's a sure sign of senescence and at least those buds should be harvested. Decreasing the daylength will speed up ripening; usually this comes at a cost to yield, but since your plants are pretty leafless I don't think that it will have much impact. Some tropical sativas never fully mature under 12/12, this look like it is probably one of them. ![]() penguin

less then 10% amber about 70% cloudy about 20 % clear top buds about the same, a little bit less amber though. If you are thinking I should harvest, im gonna stick them in the dark for the rest of the day and night and chop them in the morning.
