Question can you take clones at harvest??
permalink

so i harvested a few weeks back and today i've decided to clean out the grow room...ya know that spring clean feeling. well my favorite plant...stonehedge(pictured in the last two lower left jars..orange hairs)is still alive and kicking after being chopped 3/4 of the way down and left in a dark dry room in my attic for weeks. it's all green and happy and i'm like....hummmmm...should i reveg this lovely plant and let it go thru its vegging til august here outdoors in new england...or should i take some clones and baby them(and hope i don't kill them) and then put them outdoors at the end of may and have more plants.
i wasn't sure if the plant would be toast after the birth of its lovely stoner buds.
any thoughts oh grower gods???

I tried to do the same exact thing your talking about. And it worked, the only thing was it took quite a while for it to re-veg. Finally after several weeks the lower growth (kinda like a popcorn bud) just fell off and some normal leaves started growing. After it got big enough I took a few clones and they grew like a charm.

Peace

Go for it! Remember, it'll take a long time (6 weeks+) to get going again; it's been through it's life cycle once already, and what your seeing is essentially a "clone" eating the remains of the "mother". (this looks like it already started in the attic while you weren't looking) When it takes off, it may even "shed it's skin": all the lower growth (dead mother) will suddenly shrivel/die/drop off as new growth ("clone") starts popping out on top.

It will re veg after a total of about 4-6 weeks. But after that it should be doing good. It will be interesting to see the out come of your efforts.
