![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Table & res #1 are washed, #2 is outside ready to be washed & #3 still has plants in it. Just a few pics. In order, grow rooms 1,2,3 & some of the stuff outside. Once reconstruction begins, I'll start a pool guessing the date of re-opening. I say "re-opening" because I doubt it'll ever be complete! The re-opening is the day is the day I have at least 1 operational room ready for plants and drop beans. There's a prize for the person closest to the actual date. At this point I have no idea when the re-opening could be. Hubby has promised to take a week's vacation to work on it. Thanks to a refund from the IRS, finances are not a concern. (Geeze, I hope we don't spend that much on the rooms.) Before construction begins, what would you want in a grow room? I'm sure you guys can come up with something I gotta have! There is Berber carpeting in there now & I am constantly spilling water, so I worry about mold developing underneath. I've debated pulling the carpet up & putting down linoleum. That reminds me - what do men & linoleum have in common? Lay 'em right the first time & you can walk all over them the rest of your life! ![]() The idea with this construction is to have three deluxe rooms with e&f tables & the remaining outside area will house everything else (Ez-Clone, sink, supplies, germination area) and I'm guessing I will not have room for mothers. Gotta have my chair to stare at the plants and my little table so I can write down data. What else?

Cheese-that's alot of work already. I guess the 17th of august for the date you are all back and going again. Gives you just over a month, so hopefully sooner. Do you plan on keeping some going that you already have rooted, or a completely fresh start over?? Have fun. I say a nice radio system is a must for the plants. Something that routes to each room. I've done the tv in the grow room and that doesn't work to well. Happy Rebuilding Alley

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Pondliner.com - pond garden liners and water garden supplies is the cheapest source i've found so far Go for the Firestone EPDM 45 ML stuff. Its great. almost indestructible - but get a few feet of universal pond liner repair tape while your at it, accidents do happen... Dropping scissors etc usually wont even puncture it though... Heavy stuff!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh alley - you are such an optimist! Part of me feels like it will be Christmas or later, but then part of me knows my hubby and he wants me to be as happy as possible, so he'll remodel it as fast as he can. But he's not superman! He doesn't even get home 'til Aug 1. IMO the project is huge. The whole ceiling is coming out for several reasons. Don't worry - a new one goes up after the ventilation, pullies, lights, etc. are done. I'll be venting thru the attic & out the roof so no more fan in the window, which means one can walk all around the house & there's nothing "odd" like a hose & a fan in a window. ![]() But he knows I have enough stash to last a long ass time. Probably about a year's worth once these two grows are put in the jar. I hope he doesn't take that long!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PG - I was gonna say "START GUESSING" once the reconstruction begins, that way you have a better guess at when it will end. I'm serious when I say Halloween at the earliest. He's basically gutting a room & rebuilding it. Rewiring, new walls, new floor, new ceiling, plumbing... it's kinda mind-boggling to me.But all my life, I have seen the forest & not the individual trees at first. In other words, I look at an entire project & freeze (sometimes panic) before I pick a specific task and go to work. Remember, he's usally gone for about 3.5 weeks & spends about 5 days at home before he leaves again. I imagine he'll take the week of my BD as vacation & my birthday is mid-September. And he will NEVER estimate a completion date. If there's no estimated completion date, he can't miss it. He's no dummy. This will be an ultimate challenge in patience for me. Logically, I know to let him take his own time & it will be perfect. My pushing him does no good - in fact I think sometimes it is counter productive. But he never hurries & I do. Damn we're different! ![]() But I have every confidence in the work he does. He was the foreman of several house building crews as a teen. He's been a licensed electrician. He's installed HVAC systems. The man has an exceptionally high IQ & it doesn't go to waste. I'm really lucky to have such a fantastic & talented husband who LOVES to work, especially if it cuts down on my work. Prize Hint: It cleared customs. But it isn't seeds. ![]()
