toxie is growing every day.toxie is growing every day.

The one I bought says it operates in 1" to 4" of water I would think that would be o.k. I look at my garden daily so I did not feel that would be a problem for me. it has not arrived yet, I'm excited to put it in to action I'm hoping it will help control the high temps I have(84-89).

yes they do, but the float keeps it at the optimal level, then u can fill the res & forget about it. u cant run these foggers 24/7, i figured that out myself, they need at least a 2hr break for every 12hrs, mine said not to run for more the 8hrs w/o a hr break. w/ the fogger just sitting in water wont cool the room, tryed that, it needs to be similar to what i have. or just have the fogger in a res w/ a fan blowing accross the fog/water stream it makes to create the cool air. & my res is 24quart & needs to be filled every 18hrs or so.

Dose the mist collect on your lights? I'm concernd that the mist will get everything wet, and potentially cause a problem.

if u keep it far enough away or not pointed @ that stuff it wont. its never collected on my stuff & it points right up @ the 400w hid, but the mist is so fine by the time it gets up the light evaps the mist = higher rh%, but by all means dont aim the mist toward your stuff untill u know where & how far to put it. this mist/fog is 99% like the fog u see naturally in nature, so its really more of a fog than mist

Red face very cool and kind of sppooky

I just got my fogger today. It's been running now for 10 mins or so. My rh shot up to 80% but my temps havn't fell too far yet there at 82 I'm hopin' it drops into the 70's by the time I send this reply. Some water formed on my reflector so I turned off the comp. fan to the resovoir the fog was coming out with out it. I set up a fan on top of the container blowing the fog onto the plants. It's working well, but I'm going to have to consider something eles for lowering the temps .

see this is where the float comes into play the most, adding frozen water bottles will help lower temps. my setup works, as u can see in the sticky thread, it takes tweeking to get things right. eg: fan speed/air flow, res size (if too small the water & fogger gets hot), & imho the float. when i was doing testing w/ it in my closet w/ 300w of t5's, i got the rh up to 95% & the temps down in the 60's from 80's, w/ just the lid off the res & a 16" fan blowing across the res, my whole closet was full of fog, but i dont vent my closet. 82f isnt that high, 70-85 is ok, w/ 75-78 the $ shot. how big is your grow space?

DIY HUMIDIFER/CHILLER FOR SMALL GROWS

This is a DIY Humidifer/Chiller for Closet or Tent Grows that can be made for under $50, & all parts can be bought locally most stores like walmart, radio shack, & pet stores or online.
I use this in my 360 cubic feet closet w/ around 400w+ of light. It can lower my temps from 80's to mid to high 60's, & raise my RH from 30% to 90% +/- a few %. The temps are maintained around 75-78, & my RH is maintained around 50-60%. I can regulate the temp & RH by controlling the fans speed, which is controlled by a Coby 12v dc regulated power supply (Output:1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 12V DC)

This can also be modded into a clone box, by adding a 2nd Box of your size choise, & lightproofing it, lid too , & cutting holes in the lid to for clone sites, & connect them together where the fog enters the 2nd box. Or it can be used to grow bigger plants, by feeding the roots w/ the fog, by adding nutes to water, for a o2 rich water fog.

Parts List:
Ultrasonic Fogger - $25
Fogger Float - $6
60mm Axial Fan (52cfm) - $2
12 quart Rubbermaid Container - $4
12v DC power supply - $4-5
[/url]

Ok, McGiver you need your Series back .........

I have to ask a dumb Question but I'm definatly going to make one. To get my Flower Chamber down enough in summer day time etc. Gets Really hot here and Humid worse.

This is right on time

What makes it COLD ?

Fogg x Wind = Colder ??

I would say, Ahhhhh Cooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllll but I won't.

Now back to this ...........
