Hello Good People.... Okay, I've got nine plants growing from seeds that I fear I may have turned hermie, or simply cross pollinated, not sure. I germinated them under CFL for 4 weeks, then under 1000w HPS 24/7 for four weeks, and now flowering 12/12 for 12 days with same bulb, in a 5x5x8 room. This is my second grow. With my first grow, I opened the growroom on the sixth day of flowering and >BANG< I could clearly, easily tell which were girls and which were boys. No doubt. This time, I get nearly nothing. On three of the nine, I think I see little pistils (#1, 7 and 8) but I only see stipules on the rest (#2,3,4,5,6 and 9). Does that make sense? At this late date? What would I expect to see with hermies? Both sexes? Neither? How much longer shall I wait? These are all healthy plants, growing great, each over 18" to 2 feet plus. Leaves green and no signs of deficiencies, in 5 gallon grow bags with at least 4 gallons of soil/compost/perlite, water and fert every 5-7 days. Other than not showing their gender, they look great. I cant keep holding my breath. What say you? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

,y only thought can be that, "hey man maybe your plants are late bloomers." remember these are girls man, listen to em and wait. like girls from back in high school the late ones turned out the best right?? So be a lil more patient and maybe hang a couple more lights during the day time, around the sides of plants. hope this helps. Watch my grow YouTube - Grow Box #1

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | are these all the same plant or differernt plants? different plants, right? i don't see any signs of hermies though. yes if they were hermie you would see both sexes on one plant. i see pistils indicating female in a couple pics and in the other pics i can't see indication of sex. 1 looks female but kind of blurry, 2 can't see, 3 looks like might be female but not 100% sure yet looks like a pistil there tho, 4 cant really tell, 5 cant tell, 6 cant tell, 7 cant tell, 8 female, 9 cant tell. keep waiting until you know for sure.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd be checking the timer to make sure they really are on 12/12... also look for any light during the dark phase that might be keeping them in veg

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | #1, #8 look like girls, the rest don't seem to have hit puberty yet. Like a woman, they can always change their minds if you don't treat them right, but I think it's true that it takes a little longer for girls to mature than boys. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the girls will be the last to show sex, so I'd be encouraged that you don't see any little scroti so far. Healthy looking plants! regards, Pops

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | the good people here are right. more time will tell, and I wouldn't be all that upset, you definatly have 2-3 girls from what i can tell. Also, plants don't need to get exactly 12/12 to flower, its just reccomended for the best bang for your photoperiod. just let them chill a bit more, as you see balls, get them confirmed and yank em! looks good to me

![]() | So let us be clear: Hermies WILL definitely show both sexes, ergo, proving they are hermies, yes? Could a hermie seed make an all female plant? If I see both genders on some plants and all female on others, I still need to strike the hermies, if I want sensimilla, correct? Does a confirmed hermie still bud and make reasonable smoke? Waiting past two weeks to see gender is really within normal limits? Re: Adding more photons, Would ringing the base of the 5x5 growroom with fluorescent lights help much, or would they be too far away to help? Should I bring the overhead HPS in closer? As one can see, I'm mighty perplexed by this. Thankx for your patience
