fellow growers. For many, perpetual growing sounds complicated and costly, to begin and maintain. This guides intention is, to demonstrate that anyone can set-up and run a perpetual grow of any size. Yields depend strictly on the expertise of the grower, space and lighting given to the grow. A grower have to be skillful in taking cuttings, transplanting and maintaining mothers for clones. "CLONING MADE EASY a Pictorial Guide" demonstrates some of the skills needed. Since every grower devotes a different amount of space and resources to his growing hobby, I'll start with specifications of a hypothetical set-up, and go on and demonstrate in calendars the basic rotations. In this guide we'll not talk about lighting, nutrients, or genetics, since many combinations can produce the same results. Also we'll not talk about yields, cause that will depend mostly on nutrients used by the grower and attention given to the grow among other technical things. cont.......

I designed a hypothetical situation of a virtual GR and a perpetual grow as it progresses just to get an idea of the steps involved. Virtual Grow Room Space: 160 F2 Flowering Room: 5' x 12' Vegetation Room: 7' x 12' Drying Room: 4' x 4' What we have here it's a bedroom divided in to two with a closet that we'll be using for a drying room. Flowering Room, runs with 3 x 400w HPS covering three tables, 2' x 4' each. Vegetation Room, runs 2 x 250w MH over one table 2' x 5' and 4 x 4' T5's over 6 mothers. Rooting Chamber, shares light in veg room or has its own 24" floros. cont.....

In this example the grower wishes to harvest weekly 12 plants with one week vegetation time, or 9 plants with two weeks vegetation time. The calendars below demonstrating the beginning and end of the first (red) cycle and beginning of the second (green), can be altered to any day of the week as long as the rotations kept at (7) days. Assuming that rooting takes place in 7 days, veg for 7 days, and flower for 63, there will be a gap after every 6 th rotation of two weeks that we can not take any clones. Do not look at your veg area that is empty and fill it again. The flowering room dominates how many plants you'll run. Our Virtual GR will run a capacity of 72 & 54 clones flowering in 6 weekly rotations. As you see the first 3 calendars shows weekly harvest with one week vegetation, 12 plants each rotation. The second set of calendars shows weekly harvest with two week vegetation, 9 plants in each rotation, since these plants will be bigger. To maximize your yields just change the # of plants on the calendar, and add more space/ lights & moms. Also the calendars can be manipulated for a monthly harvest by cutting clones every three weeks 3 rotations at once. More work in a single day, accomplishing the same results. Up to the grower to decide that. Well this is the simplicity of how to run a perpetual grow. I'm happy with the expectations and predictable yields that comes with it, and I'm never out of fresh homegrown buds. cont.....

Now that we have the theory & mathematics down, let's continue with the actual plant rotation. For our Perpetual grow to begin, we'll need couple of good healthy mothers, that produce a steady amount of clones. [Personally I prefer re-veg plants for mothers, cause IMO they produce more, but any plant in it's first grow can be a suitable mom.] The amount of moms is determined by how many clones we'll need weekly and how much time moms need to regenerate more. In this hypothetical scenario, we'll use 6 moms that have been re-vegging for 6 weeks and are big enough to produce at least 15 clones each a month. As soon as our first three mothers are full of clones we're ready to begin this perpetual grow. In the picks below you can see few examples of re-veg mothers suitable for the task. cont.....

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i think this thread pretty much explains the basic format of a perpetual grow. i might have used an 8 week strain example instead of 9. my basic cycle is: i have a total of 15 baby bloomer trays. two 3 x 3's. i basically divided them in half. so, 8 baby bloomer trays and one 3 x 3 is on one cycle. a total of around 96 plants. 96 plants flower for 8 weeks. i just harvested the above 96 plants. i will be putting in 96 plants today. 8 weeks from now, i will harvest 96 plants again. but i have roughly another 96 plants. thats the other 7 baby bloomer trays and 3 x 3. they will be ready in 4 weeks, i put them in 4 weeks ago. in 4 weeks i need to replace those 96. the cycle repeats. every 4 weeks. the coolest thing about perpetual grow, is that you could harvest a plant a day, if you wanted to. i think buzz does something like that.

Lets begin by starting the "Red" cycles first rotation. Sunday the 1st. 12 clones taken and placed in the Rooting Chamber. These clones have been sprayed with water and the cover of the dome will stay closed for the first two days. After that, the cover will be opened once a day, and if everything its done correctly we should be having our clones rooted by the end of the 7th day. cont....
