Hope this helps a little bit

Edit: it's not that they CAN'T be topped, it's how they respond to that stress...Ppl that top will tell you that there's no better way. Ppl that LST will also tell you there's no better way due to the plant not being stressed...you decide. 6 in one, half dozen in the other.
YES!!! I completely agree with this guy. Its not that they can't all be topped but it is just some prefer not to be. Certain strains do not respond well to being topped at all.
You just need to figure out which ones to top and which ones to not.

red-bull---So your question of can any plant be topped, well yes it can, just go cut off the top.

Now is there any benefits to topping a plant?? That question is a little more tricky.

That stuff by mymusicveins, well that's somewhat right, but the guy obviously thinks you are topping right before you put a plant into flower.

The main purpose of topping is to make the plant produce 2 tops for every one it currently has.

If you cut off the top and throw it into flower, well yes, you just cut off the only top you have.

You want to cut the top, and then plan to grow the 2 tops as big as you want, and then flower the plant. Usually 1-3 weeks from the time you topped the plant.

And that is usually done around the 4-7th node, depending on strains and different things like your grow area, size of lights, number of tops per plant you want, cause you can also top the 2 tops, and now have 4.

Something along the Crazytrain way of growing.

You won't know until until you try fits this perfectly for topping. IMO

My blueberry I get higher yields off topping, but I can accomplish the same thing as topping and getting multiple tops with the way I clone and train my plants.

Hope that gives more explanation for you.

Happy Growing
