Hey guys could i grow weed in a cardboard box with tinfoil stuck to all the sides and put inside my closet?
I will have a light in there too.
My main worries are
1.)will the setup catch fire?

2.)[admin note:No discussion about the cultivation of Cannabis in a dwelling where other household members are not aware of the situation.] will it smell much? if so can i get rid of the smell?

what else would i need to do?

BTW it will be in a pot inside this box

It sounds like you're just starting out. Let me be the first to say that research will be your best friend in this adventure to growing your own stash. These fourms are filled with lots of great information witch you can access just by using the Search button at the top.

To answer your questions....

In theory yes, but no thats not something you want to do.

I think in order to post about your current grows on these boards, you must be growing in a place where anyone living with you is aware of what you're doing.. Im sure a mod will come by soon and let you know.

Read read and read some more my friend. This is the best way to figure out whats the best method for you.

aaah...in a nutshell....NO! you don't grow in a cardbox dude.

and NO...you don't grow in a house with other people and not let them know....unless of course you own the house.....do you? and even then that's not cool to involve other innocent people in (which is unfortunately) an illegal act.

you sound young...are you of legal age?

you definitely need to do more research on this...and perhaps wait til you are in your own place.

Tin foil will create hot spots. Tin foil is bad for growing.

Growing in a corrugated box is a fire hazard and a major safety issue.

That safety issue is compunded by taking the lives of the unaware people in your house in your hands.

This whole idea sounds irresponsible, dangerous and dishonest.

I could be wrong but in my very humble opinion, you are not yet ready to take on the responsibility of growing.

The best way to figure out what is and what is not possible with an indoor grow is to start with plants that are entirely legal to grow. Experience with plants rather than simple knowledge is the best way to start growing marijuana. There are many things that you could do right away right out in the open with the support and advice of the people you live with. Start a terrarium. Start growing windowsill plants and add indoor lighting to supplement the lighting you are getting through your windows. Experiment and seek advice openly while growing legal plants. You could easily make efforts in creating a grow box used for anything besides marijuana. You may not always live in a situation where you have to worry about growing cannabis and why not prepare for that day today? And meanwhile, growing things is always fun, even if it isn't cannabis.
