![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I like my grow bags fully dry for transplanting. I also lose just the top dirt that doesn't have any roots thru it, so purposely turn it over to dump that off, then smack the bag real good and slide it out, same way when I used pots too. My cat knows her likes and dislikes and always licks her lips after eating on my plants too. Happy Growing Alleycat ![]()

![]() | Well, after gathering everyone's kind and helpful advice here I have successfully completed the transplant. Put the 4 (hopefully ladies) into 5 gallon buckets, drilled 5 nice big drain holes and put about 1/2" of gravel at the bottom. The soil is a blend of 1 part Fox Farm Original to 2 parts Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Although I had to use about a half gallon of regular potting soil as filler for one of them since I ran out of my Fox Farm soils. After a full 24 hours, they are doing just fine. The soil was pretty moist out of the bag, but I went ahead and gave them a good watering right after transplant. Hope that was a good idea? Anyway, thanks again to everyone who helped me with this thread, I don't know what I would do without you guys!! ![]()

![]() | Chewed leaves from cats? That's nothing. My pet rabbit got into the room where I was growing a few plants... ate one of them completely. There was only a bit of stem left sticking out of the soil. The bunny was fine, fortunately.

And really...I'd rather any animal focus its attention on a single plant instead of going from one to the next eating all the good pickings, and wreak the whole damn crop in just a few short minutes. Not ever having seen a bunny in action...do they, like cats, leave a heap of leaf destroying slobber all over the not fully eaten, but chewed on leaves?

![]() ![]() ![]() | They are decently neat eaters. and they eat pretty quickly. On a side note; we used to have a rabbit that I used for hunting mushrooms!
