I grow with straight RO water and add 5 to 10 ml MagiCal per gallon - depending upon the plant.

Can R/O filter systems be reused? I know someone who bought a house that had one, but the line up to the sink leaked so they disconnected it. It was one that has like 3 or 4 pringles can sized cylinders and something that looks like a small propane tank. I think it is a Culligan brand.

Flush it out real well, and replace the filters and RO membrane and you should be good to go. The filters and membrane are typically replaced on an annual basis.

Thanks, Cavadge. I wasn't sure if they needed to remain wet and were ruined once they dried up, or if they could be resurrected. I figured I'd have to replace the cartridges, especially since there's no telling when those were new.

That's just how I do it and I have great results. I recently tried one of those filters that removes 99.whatever out of the water and it gave me 120 ppm water. I tried this filter to try to speed up the water making process as I have 4 55 gallon res. Making RO for all that is a pain in the butt. My plants suffered, and I went back to RO. Went and bought another RO and just deal with making water now. Just some of my experiences. I don't like the fact that tap has flouride and cloramine in it. Just me...
never that .. thank you! . but wow 200 ppm of calmag ? sounds alot . is that amount suitable for soil growing ? or u speaking hydro
