You'll get daisies. By that I mean you'll get very rapid growth in height, no side branching and a big round head at the top with a single cola. Not very efficient for small numbers for plants. I have one of these finishing right now. I'll post a photo later to show you what I mean.

Cramming them in to a tight space is how they grow hemp for fiber in other parts of the world. The plants are forced to dedicate their energy to getting tall so they cam compete for sunlight in a rapidly growing canopy.

This is also the basis for SOG grows.

A Daisy. This is old-line Blueberry grown from seed. It was germed on 08/18 and moved to 12/12 immediately after only 13 days from popping.

You can see a couple of things. One, the phylotaxy is opposite all the way to the top. The plant never had a chance to express alternating nodes.

Next, you'll notice that there is almost no sidegrowth. The plant was placed at a height disadvantage and grew as fast as it could to prevent its being swallowed by the canopy. Height came at the expense of yield.

I have other BB fems in the same grow that had 8 weeks of veg before being flipped. They will yield 2-3 oz each. The daisy will probably go 10 grams dried, seeds included.

Peace -CR

Cropreport, just out of curiousity if you knew you were going to end up with a "daisy" why did you veg that plant for only a few days when you could have copious ounces by vegging for longer. and apparently you still don't understand that initial post had nothing to do with LST or scrog or sog, he simply wanted to know what logic he should follow maximize his yield with situation given i.e. one room, too many plants. nothing about perpetual grow, cloning, or a lecture on plant biology. if you want to talk about your grow, start a journal and anyone who doesn't think you're obnoxious will read along and give you multiple digital pats on the back!!

in regards to the original post, as long as you are positive they're all female, cull the small ones. even if the small ones have better genetics, the limitations of your grow are going to deprive them of max light exposure. plants also sacrifice yield and will stretch if they "feel" they are in competition for light. figure out your lumens/sq. ft (i think min. suggested on this site is 7500/sq.ft.) and fill that area with tall plants.

just my ; i'm sure cropreport will correct me soon enough, hopefully with pics and discussion and fun physiological facts about what he's growing!!!

Wow man. Okay, I only vegged the daisy a few days because I wanted to know how fast it would finish. I guess that makes me a dick and boring.

I'm done being obnoxious. Have fun.

Hey CR, don't sweat the guys that repeat what you say and bash you at the same time Sometimes it's rediculous that one gets so much flak for explaining the problem AND showing a picture of what it will look like.

Thanks man. Like I told someone else, I'm married with children and have 2 decades on Wall Street. I can take a punch. And I can be obnoxious as hell, so no harm.

And how can you be Speed and Racer-X? Wouldn't that make you your own brother?

Not sure why CropReport was bashed for giving such an informed answer to my question about space constraint.

john - I suggest you check the original post and verify that the original poster was considering allowing all the plants to grow even a confined space. Cropreport expertly identified this as a bad idea.

Also, there are many reasons to have a small veg time. I actually grow all my plants straight 12/12 from seed. I do it because I have only one cab and light for growing and keeping it 12/12 at all times means as soon as one plant goes away another one is put in its place and I get to harvest and a bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on how things go.
