![]() ![]() | So, I have 12 clones of an unknown parentage, with very strong indica traits (wide leaves, fast growth, thick dense buds). The person they came from said that 52 days flower is all they need. These are all in a 4x3x6 space, they were all vegged for only a few weeks, til 8" - 10" and then transplanted into 5 litre pots and put into flower. They were kept small due to size limitations. I am using a 400w hps and 130w CFL for lighting. I am lookin at Trichs and they are starting to get cloudy, but I guess I just expected some of these buds to have alot more swelling of calyxes before harvest. They are still occasionally shooting up new clusters of calyxes in odd places, like from off the side of a well formed bud. . . They also look to me like they are not all the same, and will not finish at the same time. seems a few may be ready in 4 days, (day 48 now, 52 days I was told total), but others look like it may still be 10 or more days. Any thoughts or input, feedback, etc. is appreciated. Here are some pics of various buds to help out with the consensus. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi, Nice looking plants. Could be any number of reasons why the buds aren't as fat as you'd like. Not enough nutes could be the problem or not enough of specific kinds of nutes. Maybe too much N and not enough P for example.

Heh, the plants tell me its gonna be a little while yet. As far as fertilizers go, I very much doubt that it is the issue, I used FF Ocean forest soil for planting, with Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Green Tea Bloom Formula, Dr, Hornsby's Big Bug powder, and Indonesian Bat guano for flowering. I just flushed a week ago now. I just have not ever seen another grow where there was such strange calyx development. Hopes they swell in the next week. This is a bunch of ferts I am not familiar with using, I have always used Fox Farm ferts all the way. Just happend to be given this stuff so I thought I would try it out. In Conclusion, I will stick to my Fox Farms from now on I think. They just make good stuff. Advanced has not impressed me. Seems like they offer too many products. I mean, is all that really necessary? I have better yield with FF BigBloom and some jamaican guano.

![]() ![]() | Lol. I did not see that you were linking another thread at first and replied under mis-assumptions. Thanks for the reference though, lol. Hey Nigel, There are a few different things that can factor into how light or dense your nugs are. The primary deciding factor will be lighting. Optimal Lighting is around 7,000 Lumens per square foot of growing space. If you have enough light, crunchy thick dense buds are likely. If lighting is poor, you can expect light airy nugs. Other factors are strain, growing room temp, and nutes ![]() My room stay between 76 degrees and 85 degrees max.
