![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey all, well, old man winter is here and Harvey is back in action. Last year I resorted to using an electric oil radiator. For the most part I had great results keeping the girls warm, but there is a catch with everything. This particular heater does not have a built-in thermostat, just a hi-low knob. I spent a lot of time manually regulating the temps. I want to try something different and I do not have much time. I have this new programmable thermostat that has never been used. I have seen the type of thermostat that you can plug you heater into, but cannot afford the extra cost. The short: is it possible to wire my thermostat up to a single outlet? and if yes, how? The outlet would be wired and used only for the heater. There are no visible wires, only female wire connections labeled: NO, COM, and NC I can post pics if needed. Thanks in advance

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Harvey, Not sure if this helps but I ordered and installed one of these and it seems to be doing a very good job in my closet: ECONO-HEAT CANADA - Electric Panel Wall Mounted Convection Heaters and Thermostats It works off of 110V, can be plugged into any outlet, and the thermostat is programmable. The whole thing cost me under $150. What I like about the setup is that there is no air being blow around, the heat rises up the side of the closet and then I use a fan to circulate it around. Peace.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Smokey. I would actually only need the outler thermostat part of that equation though. Trying to save some $$$$ if possible. I will buy one if necessary, but I have a brand new thermostat and would like to know if it can be utilized before I spend more of that precious $$$$ Thanks for the heads up.

![]() | You'll need to rig that thermostat with a 24v AC transformers and some relays to be able to use it. You can get an inline theromstat at Home Hepot for $16. Similar to this RiteTemp Manual Off White Vertical Double Pole (4 wire) High Voltage Thermostat 120/240 Volts Heat Only - GPMG8046 at The Home Depot but the one I am talking about is SPST. It is in the plumbing aisle with the electric base board heaters. | ||
