Ive been running mine without the glass. Its pretty cool in the basement so not a problem so far. I currently have the glass off, and the other hole uncovered. My question is, would it be more efficient to cover up the old "intake" hole, and just allow the air to come in from where the glass would normally be? Or leave both parts open? I understand I could take temp readings, Im going to...Just figure it would take a weel or two to choose. Any one know wich will cool better?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Its around 250-270 cfm cooling a 600 watt bulb. The surface area of where the lens was is bigger than the 6 inch intake hole on the side, so I think it would allow more airflow? Im thinking the air will get sucked straight up into the hood, rather than coming "through" the hood. Also allowing the use of no lens means better lumens...Yet still aircooled. lol At least this is what Im trying for.
