ok iv looked a lot it to it and hear that pc fans dont work in a grow boxs cause of the volume of air it has to move or some thing like that, but would it work in a pc grow case. so what im worried about is, is a pc fan going to be strong enough to work as an exhaust to push the air though a filter and filter out the smell. this grow has to be 100% stealth. thanks for adv and sry about my poor spelling

Welcome to Gardenscure!! be familiar with the search feature and you will be rewarded handsomely. lol I'm working on a PC stealth grow as we speak it should be up in running in a week tops. ![]() coming soon to a thread near you!! ![]() ![]() It will depend on what light(s) u wanna use....that will let you know how much ventillation you need... to cool and still filter the air. I will run a single 50w HPS remotly ballasted like the 70w in my micro box I 'll be using two exhaust fans and one intake. Foil taped the whole interior for light proofing and airflow control. I used duct tape in the hard spots to get to and conceal light then covered it with foil tape. have yet to run temp tests with light installed. dont have one yet. need to swing by the dePOT and pick one up next time i go into town. I'm figuring the lil 50 HID should be bright and cool enuff for the PC. I really do NOT want to use only floros. we shall see soon. I will be using activated carbon a/c filter. Attaching single layer at first... this box is all still theory. I will have to experiment with carbon exhaust using those fans in a PC case, mine will have to be fairly stealth aswell. It will look like a running "server" with the fan noise and all. Oh yeah... what strain will you be using? I 'm gonna use some autos, I got a shat load of bluestreak beanos. You might wanna consider a LowRyder hybrid or similar. In my experience with these auto Blues they will produce a phat lil nug and thats about it. lol some might try to branch...lol thats a good thing for a pc grow, height will be a huge issue . if u dont use autos lst will prolly need to be used. whats the dimensions of that PC? Im also using autos becuse they require way less soil than average MJ. I'm prolly gonna use cut 16 oz water bottles. I guess you could also try a soil bed. i was considering this aswell..... check out my sig i gotta link to my small ass micro cab grow with those blues. All in all if u got decently powered fans and ur using flo i say its a go but thats still theory... I seen a few PC grows round here do a search on PC grows u might get some good info. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PC fans will work fine, great even, for just moving air in and out of a box. Most are just not rated for any pressure at all, relatively speaking. I have 150CFM Delta's rated at 14.5mm H2O which is equal to 1.42 mbar....in other words...NOT MUCH AT ALL! However those mini squirrel fans linked in the other thread put out 2.5in H2O which is 6.2mbar. That could be enough to pull through a mini carbon scrubber.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you just use the PC fans to move air into and out of the grow box, one at the top (out) and one at the bottom (in)....could you then build a small home made carbon scrubber, and place it inside the grow box. Something like this?

![]() | i could build the scrubber no problem but i cant keep it in the case due to size limits, so could i keep it out side and have the pc fan push the old air threw it? would that work and keep the smell down
