First time growing soilless. I've grown my last 4 grows in Hydroponic systems. Ok. I need some help understanding the feeding/watering process of soil/soilless media. Do I feed 1 day, then water the to next 2 days, then wait for the soil to dry and repeat those steps? OR...... Do I feed 1 day, wait for the soil to dry, water with fresh water, wait for it to dry, then water again, wait for it to dry again, and then repeat again? I'm having a little trouble understanding the feed 1 day water 2. I am listing below what I use in my recipes for both grow and flower. I would also like to know if when give my girls JUST fresh water, is there anything in my recipe I can use with the fresh water along with the HygroZyme. Some say the Sweet and the Bud Candy. Anything else, Should I even bother? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. What type of medium are you using? Are you doing soil? Hempy? Aero? TC

I guess the easy answer to your question then is to water/feed the first time and then wait till the medium dries then water with straight PHed water after the medium dries again water again with straight PHed water. After the soils dries again restart the process. As your plants get bigger you can cut out one of the straight PHed waterings and just alternate feeding and watering. Hope that explains it and helps. ![]() ![]() | Read them plants! We cant predict what they will want. We are some stoned stoners. I grow in pro mix. Wich is basically sunshine mix's cousin. I normally feed every watering at 1/2-3/4 strength that the nutes call for. Depending how the plant reacts, how fast it drys out, is how I determine how much to give. In soil/soiless the soil should dry out. Not dusty dry, but it shouldnt contain much moisture at all. Its even allright to watch the plants droop. They will be perky, then droopy within hours when they are thirsty. If you get water to them when they begin to droop, they will recover in no time. I always go by wieght of pots, but it takes some time to get it down. As for your ph, I think it would be best at 5.8-6.2

I just started 3 clones, 1 in straight vermiculite and 2 in coarse perlite. These are my 1st ever in soilless. The verm I have decided to use regular MG ferts, the 2 in perlite will get FF. PH up and PH down to keep things moving. I dunno about micro-nutes though, does MG have them?

(This is my recipe starting today day 1 of flowering) Dutch Master Gold Flower A & B(2 Part Nutrient) Dutch Master Gold Flower MAX(Performance Supplement) Dutch Master Silica(Specialty Nutrient) Fulvic Acid HygroZyme Humboldt County's Own Snow Storm Ultra("Chrystalizer") General Hydroponics Floralicious Plus(Organic Supplement Enhancer) General Hydroponics Liquid KoolBloom(Ripening Bulking Formula) Advanced Nutrient Bud Candy(CarboLoad/Sweet Leaf) New product from AN Botanicare Sweet Berry(Organic Carbohydrate Synthesizer) Then at about week 5, I add Humboldt County's Own Gravity(Flower Hardener) and run it for only 1 week. Then at week 6, I add Advanced Nutrient Overdrive(Ultra Premium Flower Enhancer), and run it for 2 weeks. Then at week 8 I flush with Advanced Nutrients Final Phase(Flushing Solution)/fresh water for a week. I think people saw a bunch of nutes listed and think it was actual nutes. But most is just supplements and vitamins and such. everything I listed in my gear has it's purpose at different times of my babies/girls lives. The stuff like Floralicious Plus, Sweet Berry, Bud Candy and Fulvic Acid, really help with bringing out the taste in ur strains even more. ![]() Thanks brother. I'll try to post some pics of the girls 2night. They're in 24 hours of darkness, before I switch to 12/12 this evening.
