Hello, well I am a noob and I wanted to get your guy's to see what the pros and cons were of all 4 growing types. Which one takes more effort, money, and time to build and maintain and what not?

Which one is your favorite?

Dirts easiest. Hydro is middle. Aero is hardest.

Dirst cheapest, Hydro is middle. Aero is most expensive.

Dont know what the hell bubbleponics are. Wouldnt that fall under either aero or hydro?

I prefer organic soil. Might not be the same yield, but I grow for quality.

if bubbleponics= a bubbler, like you put nutes and an airstone in a bucket and a plant on top, then Dr. Budz is right.

Aero? for a first grow? it can probably be done, but why? too many variables, too expensive.

Bubblers are good, can be tricky, but fairly cheap compared to other hydro.

The easiest HYDRO is dutch pot / hempy style, which is a bucket, a drain hole 2" up, fill w/hydroton/perlite, and put in a seedling. It's passive hydro- no pumps, no air stones.

The easiest and cheapest is gonna be soil, given that if you had to you could dig some good garden soil and use that.

A good blend of yield and simplicity is hempy or bubbler - harder than soil, but yields more too. Also shorter veg times needed.

But the absolute easiest is soil.

My favorite now is dutch pot, trying bubblers next maybe, then I'll try aero if I get my own house set up the way I like it.

Oh, and before someone says it for me, use the search feature. There's a link to a great way to search in my sig.

I disagree.

I have grown both soil and hydro extensivly. Soil is much harder to dial in properly than hydroponics. If you just want to screw around with a couple plants then go for the dirt or the DWC (bubblewhatever it's being called these days). If you want to grow several plants and plan to continue growing for some time, then the ebb n' flo system would be the way to go. A tray, a res, a pump, and some nutes...not too expensive at all and much better yield than a few plants stuffed into dirt. Don't get me wrong, soil is just fine. There are many soil farmers on here that do great, but I do not know too many who get a gram a watt. So I would say that hydroponics is easiest to achieve quality and quanity meds for the least amount of money, and a hell of a lot less work.

Just read up bro, it is all on this site. Take a look at some grow journals of the style you are interested in and see how they do it.

Out of curiosity I googled "Glossary of pot growing"
Here is what I found:

Like I said, Ill take quality over quantity anyday. And the effects of properly grown organic compared to chems are noticed in the high, smells, and taste imo.

A 2 week, Or even longer flush, DOES NOT change the fact you gave that plant chemicals for months. That bud is made up of those chemicals now. Flushing with water may clear out the medium or roots, but it does not wash out the plant. Maybe the stems, but not what has already been grown.

Just add another bottle of strawberry flavoring though. lol

And fuck cervantes. lol

Not sure if I totally agree with this. A proper flush the leaves turn fall colors and the nutrients stored in the plant are forced to be used up, the point of a flush. I have smoked plenty of pot grown with GH 3 part and when properly flushed it burns right down to white ash. A friend insists on using FF products in his soil grow and I can't stand the flavor. So If the flush is done right, the bud should smoke clean. Also these "chems" you speak of are nutrients that are designed to grow plants for food, smoke, and a variety of other things. There are not toxic chemicals in good quality plant nutrients.
