U mentioned your electric bill. CFL's wont really make a dent in your bill at all. Now if you had 1000+ watts of HID kicking 24/7, thats a different story. You can def. get good grows from CFL's. There cheap, efficient, and they dont produce much heat. Still, HID's are much better. High pressure sodium and metal halide are the way to go if you really wanna do some serious harvesting in the future. But with them comes more work etc. But like you said you are just learning and gaining experience. Well, im doing the same thing myself. I cant grow indoors anymore, because i actually got raided about a year ago. I got out of it though. There were 7 plants that were only a couple weeks old. The cop said he would just confiscate them and leave it at that since i was honest. I was so lucky. Never again will i get busted by being so stupid. I had pics on my phone of the plants. I was arrested for a unrelated crime and while i was locked up the cop decided to be nosy and look at the pics on my phone and discovered the plants. Shitty luck, but it worked out. lol. Well im off topic and rambling. Good luck.
