Grow time
permalink

I just started, for the first time, an indoor hydroponic set up .I have grown outdoors many times but am giving up. Too much mold and other shit with the outdoor stuff. I also grew, in dirt pots, AK 47 Auto matics but now I am growing White Widow and LA Confidentilal. I just watched a documentry on Marijuana and one of the commentators said, "Indoors you can grow 3-4 crops a year," Can someone give me some insight on how I can do this? Growing outdoors we were only able to get one crop, every 6 months. Can I get more than 2 a year indoors? I don't use the automatic seeds, I know they grow in 75-90 days, but they're too small and take up a lot of energy. I am currently using the Ebb and Grow system. It runs beautifully and my plants are only 3 weeks old and already 6-7 inches high and full of large beautiful leaves!!

Well, 2 months veg, 2 months flower is 4 months a crop. You can do that 3 times a year.

a seperate veg/flower room. Constantly flowering plants could mean 3-6 harvests...Depending on strains.

Thank you both for your replies.
Dr. Budz, I thought I needed a full 6 months per crop. 4 months sounds better!!

Mr Hyde,
Thanks for directing my thread to the right place. I appreciate that!

You don't have to veg for two months.

I will place the seedlings under the lights as soon as they germ.

I find ten inches to be about the right height to start flowering which usually takes about three weeks.

Flowering can take from eight to twelve weeks to complete.

You do the math.

If you have clones growing and the strain you are growing flowers in eight weeks, you could harvest every eight weeks.

Again you do the math.

Them,
Very good info.!! I will let my plants grow to about 12-15 inches, {I like them a little taller}, then change the light cycle to 12/12 to let them start flowering. I believe that is all that's required, am I Right? Like I said, this is my first real indoor grow.

Thanks for your input.

Imo a plant from seed will not flower till its mature. Its mature when it shows sex. Wich is usually 4 plus weeks.

I think 12/12 from seed is a joke.

Dr. budz,

I think you misunderstood my post. My plants are now on an 18/6 light cycle. They are all from feminized seeds so I don't have to wait to find out if they're male or female. I never buy mixed seeds anymore, you get too many males! My only question was do I just change the light cycle to 12/12 to make them start to flower.

You can keep a plant in perpetual veg state, hence mother plants for cloning, for as long as you like. The plant will not show sex until the lights are on for 12 hrs or less.

I am not advocating going straight from seed to flower, I'm saying veg the plant till it's ten inches tall then cut back on the lights to facilitate flowering.
