![]() | Hello fellow farmers. It's my first grow. I've got a single little devil about five inches tall with two single spiky leaves with two small 3 pointed leaves coming from the center with another two very very small leaves forming in the center again. It's been about one and a half weeks. I've got it in my fridge under a 60 watt standard globe along with a small 20 watt miniature globe. It seems to be growing well, but I don't want any nasty surprises such as death due to my light. The 60 watter is about half a meter away from the plant, because the heat gets intense when too close. The 20 watter is closer because it doesn't throw much heat. I know all plants need to photosinthesize is light, and I read that you should have about 75 watts per plant. So I've got 80 watts on the little bugger. The soil dries quickly and gets warm from the light and I'm scared if I don't water it every day it will die. I read that you should water once a week, but read somewhere else that you should water twice a day. Eh! Anyway, her's my questions. -Are my two lights okay? I can't afford big Metal Halides and can't fit fluros in the fridge. -If I grow under 24 hour light for five weeks, then cut it back to 12 hours for two weeks to force flowers, then chuck the plant outside, will all be okay? (I'm in Australia, so it's growing season now.)Or should I just keep it under 24 hours and then put it outside to force flowering? The fridge isn't big enough to house a full grown plant, and my dad told me not to keep it in the fridge anymore, so it eventually has to go outside. -Watering under 24 hour lights? More watering needed? -How quickly is the soil supposed to dry out? -When I water, how should I tell when I've watered enough? -I know ventilation is important, but is it okay to leave the fridge door open a little bit all the time to give air circulation, or is that not enough? (Let me stress however that I can't drill holes in the fridge or put fans in it's walls or anything.) -Does heat kill the plant? -Are there any signs that will tell you something's wrong before it's too late? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Corban

![]() | I have an idea! Why not put the plant outside now? Then your pop would be happy cuz the plant is out of the fridge, you'd be happy because you'd solve your light problem and the plant would be the most happy because it's outside in the natural world ![]() No light is better then the sun, and it's free! The wind and fresh air takes care of your fan's and that's free too I'd move that sucker out side asap. Hope this help a lil bit ![]() mr g ![]()
