okay here it is, im trying to get 10 flo plants going.
my setup is with 4 2bulb fixtures at 40w each
and two 65w flourex fixtures in a 5x5x5 enclosure
ive made the box out of plywood and have put in ventilation
also painted the inside with flat white paint.
my main question is do i have enough light to start the plants
and also will i need more than one 400w hps light?
also how long till i can start the flowering stage for flo plants?
just look for the alternating nodes?
thats when the 400w are used correct
any help will be greatly appreciated

1 400 watt will be good..some will die some will be males..You dont hav to wait for alt nodes..3-4 weeks will be good if you want..I do it that way sometimes...If i have room. 5-6 inch plants..You dont get side branches..they get around 12 inches tall. You need a 400 watter hps.. Read the grow guide..

so curious about a few more things
the seeds i got are all femenised and when i do my setup will i need my 4 40w fixtures after the first 3-4 weeks?
and when will i go into 18/6 or would 12/12 work better?
what is the optimum setup as far as time goes?
so will i have any need for the 65w flourex after the vegetative period?
and when will i go into the dark stage?

Winner

Optimum wattage using an HPS is 50 watts per sq/ft.
5' x 5' = 25 sq/ft .
You'll need 1250 watts.
Flowering before sexually mature (alternating nodes) greatly decreases yield.

Id let them get large if there > good < seeds.. sounds like you really want to grow.. GOOD LUCK

That was in the bible (lighting section), I would go with lumens per sq. ft.
(If you don't know the lumens of your fluo's or hid lights, go to the Lamp Lumen Data link in my signature. Page 3 for fluoro's).

That is under vegetative growth and flowering, plus you answered it yourself. One thing about using floro's though...it will take longer for the plant to grow unless you go all out on lumens.
