Hmm i dont know to much abotu ighting but i believe that the floodlight might be good while vegative growth but in flowering the plants will need more light of the red and blue spectrum..i think

yeah but aperantly they generate alot of heat and eat electricity compared to the watts or a HPS or MH of the same size

of course all my info is from a book:=)

Your going to have problems with a halogen light man!! I used one and it grew quick BUT it never got that thick! It produces to much in the red spectrum to be any good for plants. All you'll get is a bunch of stems. I'd reommend getting a floresent light. Ditch those plants under the halogen because they are too streched out.

but you just upped your wattage by over 300% something your electric company will enjoy. You went from using around 1.3 amps to about 4.5. I would go to lowes or home depot and get another 150 hid bulb for a measly 25 bucks because you'll just spend it on electricity for a less intense red spectrum(not good for flowering)light. Unless of course your parents pay for your electricity. In that case you may not care but the light will still be red.

I found it very informative such as the fact that I now know that home depot will supply my lighting needs and that flood lights suck.
