Hello fellas-

I have plants that are about a month into flowering. Just recently we built an enclosed box of white styrofoam to be reflective and also to help control ventilation. Daytime temp highs reach about 94 F. I have read that temp is a highly variable factor.I was wondering if this is too high though? It is 430wHPS light.
-Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If its growing alright, then i see no problem.... however that high of a temperature could hinder growth and possibly cause the plant to wither away....

Some say that would be ok others say 75 or nothing; I try to keep it no higher than mid 80s at most! Remember higher temps can affect potency in the plant.

Good Growing

Thanks a lot for the replies-
I was wondering if either of you could help me out with this one.

I have heard that if you let the plant go dry and wilt before watering that it that it will make it more potent. Do you think that is right or do you know if there is anything else that affects potency? (besides the strain)

thanks

hey im pretty new at this too but i hear that if you let the soil dry all the way to the bottom of your pot it makes the roots search for water, making them grow in search of water and its suppost to make the plant stronger

High temps can cause "fluffy" buds

Strive to get those temps down into the 80's. Ideally, it would be great to keep your temps between 75-80 degrees.

What are you doing for ventilation? Maybe an aircooled hood for your light would be a good investment. Heat will absolutely have an impact on your grow.

Regards,

Dr. Kellogg
