![]() | Well, this is my first time growing. Here is my setup I have pro mix soil/perlite for medium. I have a 70 watt High Pressure Sodium light that produces I believe 6,300 lumens? Anyways, I am working with 5 square feet of room, enough room for 4 small plants. 12 inches, then induce budding. The room is completely Aluminum Foiled (dull side out). I also have a heat lamp that steadies the temp around 76 on average. I also have that home made Co2 generator with the yeast, two 2liters. An oscilation fan(sp?) that gently blows and Also "Alaska's" Fish Emulsion. My 4 plants are 9 days old and 3-4 inches tall. Each plant is coming along at the same rate with the two oval leaves, the 1st 2 bladed leaves and 2 three fingered potleaves on each side, with another stem through the middle. All dark green, healthy... Now for my questions... 1. Is the 70 watt light enough for my little space, 4 plants, 12 inches tall, through the vegetative state? I will get another 70 watt light before flowering. 2. I am wondering if there are any "symptoms" a plant will show when the PH is too high or too low? 3. Is fish emulsion good for bud plants? It smells horrible =) 4. Anyone have any used lights for cheap? hehe... longshot.. Well, thanks doods, and please please gimme some imput I wanna catch the problem before it starts... if that makes any sence =) This web site is a paradise.....

![]() | im not an expert, but i do know that you need way more light than you have for 4plants and 5sq.ft of space.another 70watt hps will help lots but i wood suggest about a400 watt hps,but thats expensive,if you cant afford a larger hps,and if you can get your space down to 4sq.ft and another 70watt then id say add a couple 4ft flos to your dual 70s,or a 150watt hps to your current 70 wood probably get the job done. i hope this helps and good luck with your fantastic four. oh and as for your ph and fish emulsion i dont know much about these sorry, but worm castings work well.

![]() | I myself am only using 100 watts of flos and im beeing very succesful so far and when i started flowering 2 weeks ago didnt take 4 days to tell the sex of my plants.. i have 3 beautiful females flowering away under 96 watts of flos in a 1x3x2 w-l-h area.. so i know 70 watts of hps for 4 plants will be a decent amount if i were u depending on how much room you got for setups,i would simply use 2 70 watts hps on 12 plants and when flowering comes in youll be left with at least 4 to 7 female plants to enjoy in their flowering stage after removing all the pesky males, 4 days after flowering started. unless u wanna breed some seeds. never breed seeds with a plant that started from seed. use clones to breed. SO this expert grower told me. or use that 1 70watt hps up above and 2 3footer flo lights grosticks or aquarium lights mid way up along the plants which then bumps you up to 60 watts of flo in red spectrum. damn i need a hps light.. hope this helped.

![]() | your going down the right path. youcould use more light but what you have will work . i use fish emulsion myself. it keeps your trees nice and green.but it will not help your yield. you could use co2 to help your overall growth.

![]() | 1. You need more light. Shoot for 7000-7500 lumens/s.f. for some nice numbers. 2. Yellowing leaves among other things. Read some of the old posts in the Nursery. Invest in a pH meter. They are cheap...less than $10. 3. Yes, Fish Emulsion is an excellent organic fertilizer. Doesn't smell nearly as bad when mixed with water. Make sure to start out with a diluted strength, to see how your plants handle it. Start off with 1/4 strength. This is high in N, good for vegetative growth. 4. Sorry can't help ya there. But....check out ebay...you can find really good deals there...search under grow lights or hydroponic lights, etc. Also, at http://www.cannabisculture.com (Marc Emery's site) there is a link to cbay, where you can find good deals sometimes. Read, Read, Read any grow guides you can get your hands on. Knowledge is Power cy ![]()
