Few q's based on pics. Thanks

Whats growin' on guys? I have a few q's.
1. Should i clip off dieing yellow leaves that are not getting light at the bottom of the plants such as in the pic below.
2. What is the importance of waiting for alternating nodes, just a sign of maturity? What happens if i start a little early and my plants are at about 20"?
3. I read about LST and am trying it but i think i might have started a little late when my plants already had a lot of vertical form. What im now doing is using the LST to open up the plant and expose a max num of leaves. Is this aight?
4. Should i rotate my plants daily by rule, or rotate when they seem to be leaning too much toward my personal sun.

More q's based on other pics below

1. I just leave them.
2. Yes, a sign of maturity. You can also look for them along the branches where they will be evident first. Starting a bit early is fine if you want or need to. The longer you wait the bigger the plant and bigger the yeild.
3. From what I understand, it's never too late to LST. What you are doing sounds fine. Just try to ease the plant into it as much as possible - LST stands for 'low stress' afterall.
4. I just rotated my plant every once in a while. I've not heard of any type of rule on this... I just used my own judgment.

That's my take on your questions. Good luck!

As far as training goes should i pull all branches outward to open up the plant? (see pic) I havnt done too much training, nor have i been able to constantly monitor the daily changes so i have a concern. When i tie a vertically growing branch down, the leaves become vertical and do not get sunlight immediately. Do they adjust themselves to the light eventually and i dont have to worry about them?

The plant adjusts its leaves very quickly - no need to worry about it.

For the LST, I believe you tie the branch down... with its top being lower than it's highest point of the bend. Sometimes it must be lowered gradually if you are starting late. In order to tie it down, it is kind of pulled outward and opens up the plant like you said.

If you haven't already, check out Delta's thread on LST training in the training forum. It's a good read.

Personally, I remove my yellowing leaf.....

As long as I know the plant is NOT yellowing because of a neut problem/root problem.

Any time you start training a plant "late" you need to be very careful, and go slowly with it. IF you happen to "kink" a top when trying to "bend" it to fast, you can use something like popcycle sticks & tape to mend it together until it gets strong again, and it WILL.

Just take it slow, and make sure you loosen the ties when necessary.

Good luck.
