Marijuana plant's grow toward's where the strongest amount of light is coming from right?? So if A freind wanted to grow in a trunk, which was only 2 1/2 feet high, could he monipulate the plant's to grow sideways by putting the light on one side of the trunk, and the plant's on the otherside?? How big do the plants have to be, before I can flower them?? What do I need to do to flower them. I know it has something to do with the light cycle, but am not sure on the detail's, so can someone enlighten me??

there are a couple of thigns you can do off the top of my head here are three, you could top them to make them more bushier and not as tall, you could use the scrog method and train them to weave in an out, or you could read about bonzi trees and tie the branches to also train them,.. read up about all those subjects and maybe one of them will help,..

If i were you.... or your friend, i would find a bit larger grow space for these reason

two and a half feet tall isnt much space. Topping your plant would definantly help but you have to factor in the light distance which leaves you with about one and a half feet of growing room. You would have to flower your plant at around 8-10 inches tall, and that would cause for a small yield. Even then it might grow too big.

Plants flower by the sun telling them. In this case artificial lighting would tell them. Keep the light(s) on for either 24 on 0 off or 18 on 6 off. keep it this way until you think it is time to flower. Then switch the lighting cycle to 12 on 12 off. Flowers will start to show anywhere from 1-20 days (approximate). Then you will know what the sex is.

The trunk will also have to be well venelated. Fresh air in, hot air out.

Check out the SCROG forum and all your questions can be answered there it is quit a nice method, i haved neve used it so i don't really know to much about it, i hope that will help good luck
