Hello everyone, I recently visited home depot and ask for mylar no one there ever heard of it. This one guy in roofing thought it was some kind of mineral rock haha. So my question is where can you buy mylar at and when im looking in the store what section is it in and what do ppl use it for besides growing herb. So it will be easier to explain and find thanks. Also how much is it Height ill need 45 inches and length about 24 inches thanks. If lowes has it what section, cause the home depot I went to didnt cause they wasnt sure. thanks and cya.

the case depot here doesnt have it either, you might try other hardware stores.... a cheap alternative is to go to walmart or the like and go to the sporting goods/camping dept and get a couple emergency space blankets for about $1.75 a piece... or you can order a roll of it off the internet... u might also consider the silverized buuble wrap insulation for water heaters... i know they have that at home depot

Well my home depot didnt have the buble rap stuff either cause Im looking for something like that or reflectix at the front to keep out light then mylar all way around it. mylar reflects 95% of light I read it somewhere on the net today. So I mean thats pretty damn good. But my homedepot just had the foam type with tin on one side. If your lowes as it let me know ill try there thanks. cya

well flat white paint is almost sa good as mylar... and much much easier to clean... something to keep in mind

Go with the emegrency blanket there only about two or three dollars.So you can change them when ever you need to.I have been using they for about two years now and had no problem with them.There easy to find and there cheap. Peace.

Any party supply store will have mylar wrapping paper.It's not really paper(it's not paper lined either) and came off a 4' wide roll, and is sold by the foot.I spent less than $18 to cover my 4'x4'x8' room.The mylar comes in all different colors, but on most of them it's just reflective on the back.Be sure to check.

well its about the same thickness as the thin mylar i expect mylar comes in 1 mil and 2 mil thicknesses... just go to walmart and the camping section and u will find them or ask a clerk under $2

Just bought a 4' x 25' roll of the reflectix product at Lowes. it was about 50 dollors (usd).
