![]() | ahh! My two plants that were growin dided, they were only about two inches tall, i was growing them in a well ventilated box with two 100watt incadescent light bulbs in 16oz styrophome cups.. the cups had draining holes in them, anybody have an idea what went wrong?? i had the light bulbs about an inch or two away from the plant tips.. when i found them dead, the soil was dry.. were the draining holes a problem or the lights, heat, etc. well help! thanx~

![]() | well one possible problem was that the plants were burning..thats way too close to have the light, and you're plants dried up and died due to dehydration..I suggest next time not placing the lamps so close at least 6" away from plants, and if you can't water it enough setup a drip system so that you won't have to interfere with the plants schedule. THis always seems to work for me as Im using a closet and only planting one plant

![]() | i suggest you get a flourescent lite or 2 instead of using incandescent bulbs... they dont put out much in the usable spectrum for your plants and put out a lot of heat

![]() | ![]() It's always a sad day when you babies die. I would agree with both of the previous posts. I think you fried your babies with all the heat from the lights. Next time buy yourself some cheap flo's. You should have much better luck. And also make sure you keep your soil moist.

![]() | Sorry to add my two cents on what has already been commented on, but they're right. Your lights did little - if anything- to nourish the plants, burning them instead of encouraging the roots. Take a few steps back next time, and if you're not sure about how much your plants can take, start with a small cube or peat pellet, move to the cup when the roots start to show, etc.. It's definitely your lights though, unless you've been using some kinda of fertilizer. LG ![]() ![]()
