Usually I don't enter POTW, but when I took that photo I realized I had something special. The top buds aren't as purple as the lower ones, so I intentionally cropped the cola out so people would focus on those neat purple lower buds. Here's a shot of a top bud (there were 4), I held a piece of cardboard between it and the light to keep the HPS from washing out the colors.

I harvested 2 of the 4 tops when I saw the first amber trichomes a few days back, the other two are about 3% amber right now and I'll chop them when they're around 10%. The buds under the two colas I took have turned almost black in the light. It's kind of surreal. I don't know what strain it is, but I wish I did. Anyway, from the frosting and color (bag appeal) it's a keeper. I guess the only drawback is that the yield isn't tremendous. I probably put her in a bit early though, this plant only streched about 15% after going into 12/12. I could have probably waited until it was twice as big. Lesson learned for the clones - more tops on bigger plants.

Here's some pics from today:
New top, darker purple:

Cola as of today:

And some of the leaves are starting to purple up as well:

Keep in mind I grow in a 4 square foot cab with only 1 70w HPS and 1 65W CFL, so I pulled off that nugget above with a pretty miserly budget.
