![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Product/Service: Bio Green Clean Purchased From: Hydro Store Purchase Price: $30/qt for concentrate Length of Ownership: been using 6 months+ --------------------------------------------------------------- Pros: Dissolves salt deposits quickly & easily, makes cleaning algae and grime off trays a breeze. It has 1:8 dilution ratio or about 4 oz's of concentrate in a 28 oz of water in a spraybottle is all you need - so its cost effective, even at $30/qt ... It gets nice and foamy when you scrub stuff, and leaves plastic squeaky clean ![]() Excellent for cleaning chillers! Fill up the chiller with a 1:8 solution and let it sit overnight... Rinse it out and your done, completely eats away all the deposits. (you can even re-use the remaining solution for cleaning more stuff) Cons: none Other Thoughts: Buy it! Beats the heck out of bleach. Non-Toxic, bio-degradable, and way more effective. Rating: ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Would this be a bleach substitute or more of a cleanser? In other words, does it smite pathogens or is that better left for bleach or N2O2? I use BioGreen all the time as a cleanser....It's great! Thanks!!

it doesn't kill pathogens on contact like bleach... as far as im concerned it does better than that ![]() It Eats slime away, dissolves the bonds that attach them to your equipment and allows you to easily rinse them down the drain... Bleach simply kills the stuff and then leaves the dead gunk behind to rot. Even if you scrub it down theres always some residue. Its no good for cleaning stuff. It just kills things, which really isn't even that neccesary. I've used bleach for years and never had anything as clean as i get it now. I do however, usually add a cup of 35% h2o2 to a empty rez and rinse it out before planting... but its probably unneccesary. I dont even touch bleach with a ten foot pole anymore. Nasty stuff.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yep! its great for cleaning the ez-cloner and the little foam plugs. Spray it down let it sit and then scrub it with a brush. I usually throw all the plugs in a bucket with some concentrate swirl em around a few times let em soak for awhile and then rinse em off real good.

![]() ![]() | Can you store mixed solution? Is there a time limit? Hows it do on glass? Work better than alcohol? Sounds promising. | ||

As far as cleaning glass. Thats a good question. I'll have to get back to you on that one... My first impression would be no, you need something that evaporates off cleanly for glass... Like a 50/50 mix of alcohol and vinegar (thats what I usually use for glass) or even just straight vinegar. Bio-green clean is more soapy and substantial, it needs to be rinsed off with water... And wet glass doesn't dry off very well without streaks or spots. I'm sure it would work fine and get it clean, but probably not as streak-free as traditional glass cleaners.
