![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There are two options 1 flower some plants from seed, once you find a female take a clone and keep the clone vegging while the donor plant flowers, by the time that donor is finished flowering you'll have a full grown mother. (take the clone as early as possible, in flower or you will be waiting a while for the clone to reveg) 2 wait until a plant is mature take some clones, veg all but one - flower that one and find out what gender the donor is. when the clone shows its gender you know if you have a girl or a boy plant. If girl take some more clones and flower them.

![]() | ok, Oh So. I'm right where you're describing. I have 2 (lucky) six week old girls. One tall and the other short and a node behind. I plan on taking two clones from each today, Then I guess based on characteristics of the original, I will pick new mothers. Sound correct? When is the earliest you can take a clone?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | sounds perfect. I'd say its best to wait until have some alternating nodes (usually get some at about 4 weeks). One of the benefits though of cloning is when you clone from a mature plant as soon as that clone roots and begins growth it is a mature plant with alternating nodes. So you can clone from your clones as soon as you have large enough shoots.

![]() ![]() | The other benefit to having a mother plant is that the more clones you take (As long as you clip them properly, so that the branch forks out), the more possible clones she'll produce, until you're over-run with cheerful little clonelettes. ![]() And if you do find a strain that you like better, then flowering the other mother should be a real show. ![]()

Case in point ![]() This picture is over a week old. She's filled the entire width of the cabinet now. It looks like a scrog with out the screen. I Imagine it will indeed be quite a show. ![]()
