 | As far as i kno you can take a clone as soon as your plant has gotten its second set of leaves on that branch. 5 weeks should be pleanty old enuf

| hey whats up seaman, i like to take my cuttings anywhere between 3-7" long, so for me its not really a time thing, different strains and environments (i.e. hydro-soil) dictate the outcome. Ive had plants from seed that were three weeks old and i was able to take clones, a strain im growing now the plant is 4 weeks and i dont plan on taking cuttings for at least 2 weeks because i can barely see new growth....but hope that helps a little.......happy growing

| One of the purposes of taking clones is to be able to have a plant root and be immediately mature. So it's a good idea you let your plant grow up enough so that there are some full branches with alternating nodes. If you take it earlier than this, It takes longer to root (in my experience) and it will definitely take longer to show gender.

| i do it whenever i can have a stem at least 4-5 inches. taking off branches that arent long yet reduces rooting alot in my experience. plus the leaves lay on the dirt and grows mold. i dont pay atention to their age, just the length of that branch.

you can take a cutting, put it in a glass/cup of water, or baggie of water with some sort of humidome on it, it will survive in the meantime before you place it in the medium for rooting, i suggest re cutting the stem when doing so.

| Agree with bobbooty, I soak my clones in a solution for an hour then recut the end of the stem then root horomone, then medium. Good luck
