Thanks for trying. Post your picks in the image manager, not in the text window, so they show just as thumbs. ![]()

OK, now that we have most of the Q's on basic cloning answered, let's move on, to the second part of this Guide. Taking a clone from a re-veg mother plant. Picks: 1,2,3 We begin with harvesting couple females <red circles represent where the colas were harvested> Picks: 4,5,6 vegetate them for few weeks < these ones were vegged for 6 weeks> Now that we have our moms full of grown clones, let's try to pick the ones that have 5 nodes. Pick: 7 Large yellow circle is, where the plant started re-vegging smaller circles shows where the plant was cloned previously and the yellow lines shows where the next clones will be taken. Pick: 8 Once the clone has 5 nodes in it's own brunch is ready to be taken. One node will stay on the plant so it can reproduce, and one will be cut off the clone. Pick: 9 By taking clones continuously and leaving one node from each, you'll end up with a nice bushy mom that produces plenty of clones. Well I hope that helped you a bit, for when the time comes to clone some of your re-veg plants. Chapter III coming soon

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey lou. Im new to cloning and love your guide. I took 4 clones from a mama plant about 6 days ago and after noticing no roots I pulled them out of the soil and found that no roots were developing at all on either of the 4. How important is it to dip the clone in water and than the powder ? I may have had it in water and than in my hands to trim and what not, and than dipped it in powder. Would that have made a difference ?

What happened to your clone is, it took air through the stem and the core sealed it self. As soon as you cut the clone from the mom, trim it too, then dip in water and immediately in powder. It has to be wet for the powder to coat the stem. Make sure you have a good white ball of powder stuck to it. If your clones are long enough you can re-cut them and plant them again. Is the leaves still green?

![]() ![]() ![]() | They were all recut last night and dipped so hopefully this will get them. The leaves are still nice and green looking No sign of dying. Is there anything I should keep my eye out for so I can tell whther I didnt get air or not ? Or do I have to wait it out ? Also, your getting an insane amount of roots at 4 days ? Should I expect to see the same if I do it right or is that a fast cloning strain yo ahve there ? Last edited by seaman; 11-08-2008 at 04:38 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | seaman, leaves are green, new cut & dip, Yes I don't see a reason for them to not grab root. Knowing if you have air in the stem it's simple. After you place the clone inside the dome, spray them once. Do not open the dome for 48 hrs, regardless what you see inside. After the time is up, open the dome for 5 min's once a day, but do NOT spray them even if they're wilting a bit. Let the stem look for moisture. The leaves survive on the RH build up inside the tub. In 7 days, if you don't have root showing, most likely your stem its closed, leaves will start yellowing, and it will start wilting. Most will spray & spray water trying to keep the leaves from dying, it doesn't help much. If the clone don't have roots in a week, is time to re cut and try again. Healthy clones in a high humidity dome should start building roots on the second day. The mistake, most growers do is keep opening the damn dome, not realizing will take 12 hrs to build RH at 90%, so here you lost half a day times cause had no patients. Now here are some tips that I noticed that I do right. My clones must have 3/16" thickness minimum at least 4 nodes & a top I stick the stem 3" inside the solo cups, thus the roots are more in the bottom. Another thing, when you cut that first node (leaf) of the clone, that part has to be powdered too and it has to be inside the soil. If not, is sucking air. The reason that I cut that leaf is, to encourage roots to grow from there too. Remember a plant will & can grab roots from any part of its "body",..... if you lay it sideways and pour dirt over half the stem, in no time at all you'll have roots growing. (No cloning Powder needed, )Nature, man, the need to survive, amazing thing. Good luck with your babys. ![]()

You'll love cloning, where common sense goes long way. Think, simple when you do it, don't complicated. Pick the clones you will cut by looking at them first, and some how visualize the mom decloned. Remember, mothers have to be maintained so they can have a steady supply of clones. Currently, it seems that I'm getting 15 clones from each re-vegged mom every month, so 8 x 15 =120 clones, I'm happy. What kind soil did you get btw? Here is a pick of the 20 clones, I cut yesterday.
