![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i was able to get an a hold a great og strain from a fellow patient. im having problems with it staying nice and stable WITHOUT using the dome. i have one in solo cup with ffof and perlite and other one i got from patient is in rockwool. it survived until i was able to get home and it stayed perfect for about 10 hours or so under some cfl's. the rockwool is not directly under them, just slighty to the side. after the 1o hours it started wilting so i domed it and it perked up beautiful. the soil one is lil wierd, it was all good for about 2 weeks then started wilting today. i domed it and it perked up as well. do you guys know how i could rectify this issue????? other info; they got roots . they are under 60w of cfl's, watered every other day or when pots are super super light, usally every other day

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | clay, if they have roots they will overcome the wilting after few hours under the lights and perk up. The only thing that can make a plant with roots wilt will be thirst. How long did you keep them out of the dome from the moment you saw them wilting? Put them under the lights and let them wilt if they will, if they don't stand up after few hrs the root structure is not mature or big enough to bring water to the tip of the plant, throw them back in the dome for a week. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If they have roots they do not need to be in a dome any longer, but what you're describing sounds like a PH problem.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | cancer, how about some details. What kind media do you use for cloning, what is the room temp and RH where you keep the dome, " " " " inside the dome, powder/gel or other etc. Usually mold at the bottom of the stem will form when the "plug" its over saturated and RH is too high not allowing it to dry as times goes by. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1.No gel or powder 2.Had 2 in soil in cups and 2 in jiffy pellets.. all 4 got moldy stems at the bottom and died. 3.Not sure about the RH. I had them under cut off 2 liter bottles and on a heat mat. The RH in the overturned cut off off bottles looked to be really high because there was a ton of water on the inside of the walls. I may have kept the medium too wet.. I rewatered the jiffys a few times ( dipped the bottoms in water ) because they were dry.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Now you know the problem. The solution is, after you thoroughly moisten the plugs or soil, squeeze and take the running water off. You need a moist plug/soil, not wet. Depending the size of the cutting, the space with in the soda bottle is too small, might elevate RH pass 100%, no good, mold thrives at that level. If thats all you have for a dome, open it few times a day to release humidity build up. Small hole on top can help also. ![]()
