Yes, you can cut the bud off and leave couple of leaves on the stem, thats all it needs. If you live the bud on, will rot with time and the stem will grow with in the bud. Takes a little longer........I like to just have couple leaves on a stick to clone. ![]()

![]() | I use to use Rockwool back in the days before i found the rapid rooters.I ran out of them and had just placed an order for a new 400w hps and bubble stone's pumps etc...3 strains.Shoreline,Chronic and a cheese/sour diesel i bred myself called Snakebit.I grabbed a slab of rockwool and the world has been shit ever since.9 dead shoreline cutting's 6 dead chronic.I think i have saved 2 shoreline but time will tell.I am new to this forum but i have been with Rollitup for years and it has went to shit.So please fellas i need help.Went and bought some vita water ,the xxx with acacia?low in sugar high in b2 b3 b4 etc and i am going to try this in a mix for a more rapid rooter approach, like someone said roots are made for soil.I still havent figured out how ill get the rooted clones in the hydro setup after a soil start.Any tips on prefeeding the mother?what about the soaking of clones for a period of time in a b-1 and h2o2 solution?Help please someone break this mojo.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Read the first posts, cloning in soil or plugs its the same thing. plugs moist not wet steady temp and RH, 80F/90% and no sexy add ons just a stem with a little cloning solution in a plug. Keep it simple, cloning its not a science. ![]() Welcome to GC, have fun.

Can never go wrong with soil for sure, pick one thats not too compact, aeration is very important to the new roots. Happy cloning. ![]()

![]() | [quote=Lou Cypher;1159005]analog, no heating pad my friend. This is cloning made simple, after all. Lights: 6 cfl's 65w each, mounted on a piece of wood 12"x72" it covers 30 clones in 6" pots, 18/6. (here is two picks from clones that were vegging a month ago under them) When they are in the dome, lights are about 2' over them. After they root and get transplanted in 6" pots the lights are placed 10" over the tops. Temps are at 82-90F / RH 55-70% in veg & cloning room. The floor temp that the tub is on, it's about 70F. RH inside dome is usually 90% (IMO is about the most important factor in cloning). [/QUOTEThat is like a Zen cloning room.Peacefull ![]()
