![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well first of all zero veg time (couple days sometimes if rooted early)... and I plan to harvest at six and a half weeks like all my other grows (me likes cloudy brain kill) But honestly this is my first run, so they might get rootbound, and if so, then i'll have to alter my plan, but I just planned on solo cupping em..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Knaa reckons they finish best in high intensity light, at 14 off, 10 on, so have gone to there and have a 1000 watts right in their face. lol noticed big thickening over last week they are local outdoor strain, so adapted to approx 10 hour winter, so we will see. Let them dry out to point of stress, then gave a flush and have another spray of white hairs happening. this is the winner but Lou,[pic 1] a little deformed freak, i loved ; yvetta and now i am rewarded. started flowering way after others, and then boom, took off and overtook them. her big sister is a bit behind,[pic 2] but 8 times the size, so couple of weeks will hopefully see another monster. lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good afternoon, Lookin good nigel, fattening up nicely.. I sowed (6) of those Trainwreck seeds from that plant that hermied a couple of harvests back, all (6) sprouted soil foxfarm light warrior in a little 6 cell container called a 6 pak. I'm under the assumption these are f1 females we'll see.. I was impressed they were sowed in soil last friday and sprouted the following sunday with no special treatment to the seeds, just into soil moisten and put under a dowm on a tray on a heat mat. Two day germination, WoW I am getting better even with seeds.. I hope these grow out to be female, they were cross pollinated with KGB and that AK47 of mine.. We'll see, they are on a separate journal from the regular grows. Have a Wonderful day your friend don

I have been taking a bunch of clones from seed plants and came up with something that may help. One issue with Rapid Rooters is how damp they should be. I start off by soaking them in pH'd water for a half hour or so and then squeezing out what feels to me like about 1/2 the water (sorry for non scientific description but I have never weighed before and after squeezing so that is the best I can do). Then I stick the clone in them and put them in the official RR tray. They will dry out before the plants are rooted and you will have to re wet them. Here is the trick I use that has proven successful for me at least. I add water to the tray up to the point where the RRs will wick it, but once they become fairly wet again (they regain that nice dark color) I empty that water out of the tray. This keeps the RRs from becoming too wet and causing stem rot. I have just potted up some clones I did using this method...8 days and the roots were poking out the RRs. Not a single yellow leaf and not a single use of the mist bottle. If I think about it tonight I will take a pic and post it. Filling the tray with coco also works very well. It will dry out a little slower than the RRs and tends to like slightly lower humidity. When it does need to be re wet the same trick works. ![]() Last edited by YosemiteSam; 07-29-2009 at 11:55 AM.. ![]() | Well,I finally got the Rockwool down again.100% success on the last batch of 20.I used alot of the info in here except most people soak the Rw,I used a syringe and used just enough, non ph'd water to wet the area of growth only.I also added B1 and H2O2.Thats not why I'm posting though.I was reading through some old Horticulture books and came along some tricks our forefathers used.Willow branches contain enough growth hormone to be used as a gel type rooting compound.Cut pencil sized sticks into 1/2 in sections and soak in warm water overnight.I like this next one too, place a grain seed beneath the cutting and when it pops it spreads large amounts of hormone into the soil/mix or RW.Peace.Thanx fellas ![]()

I know what you might be saying; what is a node? Using the search feature and trawling through the Propagation forum will answer that question and give you much more information. Just type in "FIM" and a world of posts will be before you. ![]() Welcome to the board. ![]()
