fellow growers. Many threads covering about every aspect of cloning exist in these forums explaining every step of the process with great results and successful grows following. What is different with this thread is, like the title says, Cloning made easy. No special tools, no special gels and just tap water. Tools: pair scissors/ empty cup/ any cloning powder Soil: Pro-Mix Pot: clear solo cup & 6" pot Water: plain tap Optional: rolled joints/ ashtray/ lighter Chapter I: Taking a clone from a mother plant until harvest. Chapter II: Taking a clone from a re-veg mother plant. (page #3/post#24) Chapter III: Taking a clone for a future mother plant. (page #15/post #145) CHAPTER ONE Pick 1), this is a clone that's vegging for about 6 weeks now, 10 clones were taken from her last week, and this is the mom that we'll be cloning today. Pick 2), this is the clone to be cut. (if you look deep inside you'll be able to see the sites that clones were taken already). Pick 3), shows where the cut will be. Notice that I cut clones that already have 4 nodes, I leave one on the plant, so I can have another brunch grow. Pick 4), the clone has 3 nodes, one of them will be cut to create another site for roots to grow from. Pick 5), now the clone is ready for the next step. Pick 6), dip the clones stem in the cup of water and Pick 7), immediately in to the cloning powder. Pick 8), Now place the clone in to the soil filled cup, Pick 9), your clone is ready to be placed in a dome. Pick 10), here it is with the rest of them that were taken earlier. As a dome I use a clear tub that fits 24 clones at a time and keeps RH very stable. cont......

Pick 1 & 2), Here is the tub that I use, you can see the humidity build up, also it's so clear that allows light from all sides to get to the clones. I spray them with just tap water and close the cover for 48 hrs. From the second day on, I'll open the cover for 10 Min's a day, to allow fresh air to get in. Please note that, I wont water them again or spray them with water, the humidity will keep the leaves from dying while the plant is looking for water beneath. Pick 3), On the fourth day I start looking the cup for roots. Pick 4), usually around 7 days they look like this. Pick 5), the clone is ready to be transplanted. Pick 6), here we have a 6" pot filled with DRY pro-mix soil Pick 7), I place a solo cup the same size as the clone is in, and place it in the center of the pot where I want the clone to be. Pick 8), now I wet the soil around the cup until I see some of it coming out of the bottom and pull the cup out. Pick 9), gently pull the clone off the solo cup ( not a bad amount of roots for 7 days). Pick 10), and place it in the hole and push a little soil over it's top. That's it, you're done, you have a clone thats ready to go in to veg or if you wish straight in to flowering, depending on the amount of smoke you want to harvest or time at hand. This clone we'll take it straight to 12/12. cont......

Pick 1 & 2), Well, now that you have your clone placed at 12/12, in couple of weeks it should look like this. Pick 3), at 6 weeks pistils start getting red Pick 4), and if you planted enough to look like this Pick 5), on week 8 you should be ready to harvest 10-15 grms a clone Pick 6), after 4 days of drying it should be combustible enough to sample Pick 7), two weeks later, can be rolled Pick 8), and smoked. Well if thats not simple enough, I don't know what is. Happy cloning. Chapter II, coming soon.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here are few tips: 1) choose a brunch that has at least a 3/16" stem 2) do not keep the clone for too long in open air 3) try to cut/dip/coat/plant, in less than a min. 4) leave the first node of the brunch on the mother plant 5) use a dome with air capacity of at least 2 cu.ft. 6) do not open the dome more than once a day 7) do not spray them with water after the initial spray 8) if they root in 7 days they wont need water either until transplant I think that about covers the cloning from a clone mom. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mother natures simplicity. I took couple picks of couple clones that define the possibilities of a plant growing. This first & second pick shows a clone that was taken from a Creepy plant that is flowering for 124 days today, and is one of the brunches that I usually cut and throw away to air out the plant a bit. Well this time, I decided to just stick it, in to the pot next to me, of one of the re-veg moms. I didn't spray no water, no dome, no cloning powder, and look at it a week later. It's growing and loving it. ![]() The next two picks are of a Small brunch that I usually cut of the clone before I plant it. Well again, this time I stuck it in the pot with the mom on the first post, look at them, secondary growth it's growing, and again, nothing special, just stuck it in the wet soil. They already have roots. I'll wait one more week and I'll pull them out and plant them in their own pots. Mother nature, how amazing is she! ![]()

This is cloning made simple, after all. Lights: 6 cfl's 65w each, mounted on a piece of wood 12"x72" it covers 30 clones in 6" pots, 18/6. (here is two picks from clones that were vegging a month ago under them) When they are in the dome, lights are about 2' over them. After they root and get transplanted in 6" pots the lights are placed 10" over the tops. Temps are at 82-90F / RH 55-70% in veg & cloning room. The floor temp that the tub is on, it's about 70F. RH inside dome is usually 90% (IMO is about the most important factor in cloning). ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Lou, nice I'm going to try and clone WW and Himalayan gold, got 2 in dirt, anyways I notice you left out scraping the stem lightly for more root activity before dipping, anyways that's the way I was told last time maybe the reason why they all failed?

Since I'm cloning mass amounts of clones lately, I decided to play a little bit with them. Like, first I stopped using RO water, and I filled the cup with tap water from the faucet, and I cloned 18 of them, they grew with no problems at all. After that, I clone the next 18, with tap water, and this time I didn't scrape the stem. Again, no problems with them. Then I cloned 16 more, again with just tap water, cloning powder from HD, and Pro-Mix used soil. All those 52 clones, are the ones you see in my other thread flowering right now, a week away from harvest. And the clones you see in the above picks, were taken last week and this week, the same way, and as you see they are some happy little plants. Those will veg for three weeks, trying to double my harvest next grow around. If I keep the humidity in the dome around 90% I get them to root in 4-7 days. Hope that helps a bit my friend. Happy cloning. ![]()
