To preface I have been growing since 2001. I have never had real good success cloning but I am in real trouble now. I have been growing dreamgoddess for about 2 years in a 150hps micro dwc. I did have a perpetual harvest. About six months ago I had some algae problems that about ruined my run with this special plant and my perpetual harvest. I was able to salvage 4 clones that are in the same container. I am ready to flower but the clones I have taken over the past month simply will not root. i have been taking a clone of a clone of a clone etc. I normally use McDonald's sundae cups. I fill with perlite and the lids act humidity dome. I bat about 50/50 using this method. Then I built a bubble cloner out of a clear rubbermaid shoe container(6 holes with neoprene disk). First time out everything rooted but I noticed this clear snot when I transplanted is when the algae problem got worse and finally lost the grow. Few weeks ago I took cuttings and put in my now light proof bubble cloner..they all died but they were tops if that matters and had not gotten real woody. I waited until I had some other cuttings that were long enough (3 stem points) and they died. Although the temp in my cloning area was a steady 75 degrees I went and bought an aquarium heater so keep my water at 75 degrees. Took some more clones and they died. I do not want to loose this plant. I am thinking about going back to the perlite in the Micky Dees sundae cup. I have to do something with the mommas because they will soon be too big to flower with good results in my space. I use root tech cloning gel. I am about to pull my hair out. Should I go back to the perlite? I bout some 2inch net pots and I thought about putting my clones in them and dropping in a DWC. I need help | ||

... rooting hormones. Just pH adjusted water and a small dose of micro nutes ![]() In your situation ... before I buy anything else ... I would try to do a run with only pH adjusted water. You have all the right equipment to get the job done ... you just need to find your groove Start with the minimums ... and step-up from there ![]() I know I'm a little late to chime in ... but I hope it helps... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | a tip from a now passed on rasta goddess: let the plant grow until you have bottom branches that are about 3"-4" long then grab the potential clone and the shade leaf right where they connect to the stalk. carefully pull both gently down and out, this should give you a nice little white piece of the woody portion of the stalk about 1/4" long. pull off the shade leaf (most of the time the shade leaf is yellowing and comes off in the initial pull) and you're leaft with your clone, gland and woody core. pinch the growing tip, put it in a glass coke bottle of pH balanced water and place her in low light. i go to rockwool/net in bubbler bucket and have excellent su'sex. peace0, n_zyme
