![]() | So I'm growing some blueberry, hempy style. I have these gel cups that are used for clones, it promotes rooting, yet everytime I take a cutting they stay for a couple days then start to droop and wilt. My process is: Clean razor blade Cardboard backing behind the stem I want to clone The clones have minimum 2 shoots and I cut just below the last shoot. I trim off all the leaves except the ones on the very top, which is usually 2 small ones as well as the growing sprout at the tip. While trimming the clone remains in a small cup of water with the clone just sticking out at the top about half an inch to an inch from the top is not submerged. This takes 10-30 seconds and then I poke a hole in the top layer of foil of the gel cups. I then gently push the clone into the gel cup until it is submerged a cm below where the first leaf is, making it about 1-2 inches of stem in the gel. Now being that roots shouldn't be getting light I put them in cups so just the top gets light. After this I set them under a CFL lamp, 26 Watts, 2600 lumens, daylight style light. They sit under this 24/7 Beside a black cup of water to promote humidity. My house is generally pretty warm. Possible problems I could think of: It gets direct sunlight for about 3-5 hours each morning, possibly too warm for them to handle? It gets a little chilly in the room as the air conditioner is left on sometimes, but it never gets cold, just a little chilly ontop of the warmth/humidity in the room. It's also beside a fan that is on about 50% of the time. Any advice is appreciated thanks in advance. Please help my little babies

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you choader, Mrs,Blue Defects, your main problem for the wilting is low RH. You need a dome, and as Mrs, Blue indicated on the first link she posted, those little gel balls have been tried and failed miserably. ![]()
