I am wondering what others think about clone gels. I have tried Olivias and also Technoflora & have NOT gotten the results I would hope for. Seems Roottake from my local Lowes works best for me. Maybe I am missing something like special care when gel'n?

I too used clonex. I got a free sample of it from my local grow shop. It worked all right, in spite of my incompetency I managed 60%. Probably couldve done better. I think next time I'll just get some Rootone and use that...gel seems like it rinses off easily

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I like Rootech gel just fine, but it is the only thing I know. It is what came with my Techniflora starter kit, and I bought a larger jar of it after I ran out. I used it in a cup with coco in it, and also in jiffy pellets and had great success with a few different strains. I never had a great set up (no dome or heating matt or obviously bubble cloner), but within 10 days I pretty much always had roots. ![]() Also, from reading on GC I have found there are 100s of methods and variations on cloning techniques. I say just find what works best for you, and clone your ass off. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When using gels you only want a light coating. Too thick of a gel coating can cause them to die from suffocation/stem rot. With Olivia's you are supposed to stir it each time before use (see directions).
