![]() ![]() | I have a couple questions 1. Whats the minimum amount of light i can use for a clone which has just rooted in a dwc 5g bucket. (It was cloned from flower) 2. My other plant is in the 5th week of bloom and thats where my eal lighting is a 400w MH. For the clone its just under a 20W floresent. (blueish hue color) Would it be more benefical to move the bucket everyday for the 12 hours under the MH or is it just a waste of time because it will be around 5.5-6 feet away from the light and shaded by the flowering plant.? one more thing is it better to pick off the flowering spots on the clone or just leave them?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yep I agree with bloody. ...t5 or t8's also are cool. Hey if you have LED's why not try that too? I am to poor and have no LED's though

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not sure putting vegging plants so far away is good. I think it would cause a lot of unwanted stretching. If it was past its stretch phase in flower already it would be a different story. Last edited by stoney-trees; 07-07-2009 at 06:20 AM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree with the others. Leave it under the CFL. I do all of my clones under a single T5 for at least 3-4 weeks (though I sometimes add a second T5 along the way. The advantage is that I can keep the light very close to the clone (just above the humidity dome), and therefore stop the plant from stretching too much. Good luck.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i do so love riding a moving thread; what a buzz. lol I am a specialist clone killer donedolla; my forte being watering too soon. I am getting better at the lights lol, indirect light till they are rooted, gradually getting stronger as they do, then hitting them with some power once they start actively growing.good luck nigel .

![]() When root less clones are put to direct light the leaves absorb light and in turn they start looking for nutrients to grow (photosynthesis), resulting in eating them selves and obviously dying. But as soon as they have a small amount of roots, they can use as much light you can give them, and yes, the more light you give them, the faster they will grow. ![]()
