  | I haven't heard of the difference in taking the top vs the sides for mother plants and genetic drift Is this how all of you do it? I haven't read that anywhere

| alright gl1tch, thanks for the link. I don't have time to read all 25 pages while I am at work but ll be reviewing that thread sometime tonight or tomorrow night. I am eager to read about this one. I just find it strange that I havent heard of it till now and no books I have read have mentioned this before. Hehe, onward into a new abyss

The main stem its that age, but not the side brunches. A lot of people take a clone from a lower part of the plant with out realizing that brunch might only be 2 weeks old, not a month as the main part of the plant. And its a fact of course that the oldest the plant vegged the more opportunity it got to reach its strain genetic potential. So if you're cutting a clone for a mom, the top will be the oldest of all.  | |||
