how long does it usually take for your clones to root? because ive only had success cloning with one of my strains before and that was long ago and a strain ive lost.but now, in a 4 inch pot, with a 2l bottle as a humidity dome (slight cut in the top for air) 2 feet away from a 400w mh (right at the edge, shade from 2 big pots, but surprisingly much light though) a clone has rooted! (top i accidentally broke off) and in 3 days, maybe a tad over. no less! ![]() started to grow and everything, almost quarter larger. i just put it there, little hope of success (have tried cloning this strain before ) just took off the bottlecap maybe 5 mins each day. and added some water (30+c temps in there, goes up to 35c at night)so i wonder, obviously the higher temps, 23-30c in the past always. and the mh, thats new. so going from almost never cloning, to cloning in 3 days? ive read (one place) that mh speeds up the cloning process. have any of you any experience with that? how long does it take to root, i always hear 7 days minimal?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i think 5-7 days is optimal. whats the ph of the water? temps are usually key for cloning. the more optimal the better. ive heard of 3-5day rooties. are they just nubs? or long hippie haired roots already? ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hmm, no rootpowder, no idea of the water, just know its good water. some of the best bottled water in the world, comes from here and they dont need to filter it. i get the same water from the tap. never do ph 30c in the day, 35c in the night. i cant see the roots, but the plant has doubled in height and started growing, so... 3 days? hehehe nice.. i wonder if its the mh? and the temps. edit: yeah ive just checked it, no wilting, sprayed it a tad though..but all the times ive cloned, ive never seen growth happen before roots.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thanks, yes, i thought that too, its about 10 c higher than normal for me (different apartment) just was curious about the mh too, because ive read that it speeds up cloning. also, i kept the sodabottle label on for the first day, almost darkness, just could barely see the clone. and did not use a clone powder. the temp variance, i have all the lights on, 24/7, just rotate plants in and out (have a closet nearby for dark) its just that if i close the door (like want to go to sleep ) the temps rise 5c. or there would be steady temps.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah i dont use clone gel or powder or stimulant of any kind either. just plain un ph'd water, in the ezcloner. the fastest ive seen it root is around 5-7 days. just depends on temps. i have the cloner under 2 x 4ft t5's, for a total of around 300w maybe.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah, i got the feeling that a rootpowder or gel is pretty pointless. especially after this try ![]() oh its definetly a freak thing, but i think i should keep that clone as a mom the parent is just about read to go into flowering, so weŽll see the smoke report ![]() its a child of a fantastic hermy, but im bit sad that the offspring havent hermied this time around, i wanted more seeds (around 15 seeds last time)
