| ok...two days ago my body pops a clone on me that was roughly 6 inches from dirt to top of plant, had two colas w\one cola having two branches that were supporting three leaves apiece and one of the leaves was 4in.(just the leaf not including stem) and the other branch was roughly the same all the way down to having a monster leaf about the same size with new growth poping out the top that was just as eager to grow as its counterpartners.i guess this may not be uncommon to you cultivation gurus of bud . but this clone really f$ucked me up...oh yeah, here's the kicker, its only 12 days old (10 then) and was only about 4in. tall when cut and even has a hint of some really kick ass bud(not too sure if it came was in a connected flowering room or what) .here's the way it was laid out to me..he took the cutting, made a slice with razor, put in water, cut again, dipped in roottone powder placed in soil with vermiculite&perlite mix then placed under 400wt MH 18in away.now, for the last 2 months i've had absolutley no luck cloning from a plant that comes from the same gene pool (a clone of a clone of a clone ect,ect)..now,is he f*cking with me or is it the MH....is this the way to go..i mean,if you think about it,the cutting just came from under the light before it was cut..right????so why not keep it where it was.right now the above mentioned monster clone is sitting under 1 400wt MH & 1 400wt hps in a round 2 gallon pot on a 24hr cycle.he also tells me to cut my lights back to 16/8..YES..16/8...now i've heard of 18/6....can i get some clarification here.. sorry about the rambling on keep on rollin | ||

| Metal Halide is cool for clones, but there is a feeling that light should be reduced until plant has the ability to take in nutrients to photosynthesize into energy, thus growth. Floros are good for this. I'm interested to know how long you waited to take the clones off the second generation of plants. | ||

| not too sure what you mean by when i took the clones from the second generation of plants.the plant i brought indoors, to try and clone from, was about 2months old.that is the only plant i have tried to clone from.with it i waited a few weeks and started to clone with no luck for two months.however, all is not in vain.right now my room (5'x4'x8')has 20 thriving clones on the floor in 2gallon(8in.) pots.the above mentioned buddy managed to talk me into a 50/50 so i said sure if he supplied the healthy genetics..oh,and did he ever.he brought over 32 of the same type of monster clones .well our hopes were high, but the room just wasnt big enough for 32 so the healthiest (most root developed) ones were chosen.im so excited. thanks for the reply.... keep on rollin..... | ||
