i have a space issue at the moment and until i solve it i have to leave my clones in my "main room" where i will be soon putting my plants on 12/12.they are getting sorta big and with a 2 month flowering cycle i want to start flowering as soon as possible so i can avoid huge plants.well, my buddy tells me,"go ahead, all it'll do is slow the rooting down a little"........truth or tale??????

any and all suggestions welcome

The root system determines the final product. What you suggest is possible and will be alright. If they have not rooted at all I wouldn't. If they are showing new groth go ahead. You will end up with less plant and less harvest.

Good luck.

I wouldn't recommend. If the clones start flowering, it'll take weeks to get them back to veg.

Good News,

I started some clones under 12/12 and they flowered on me. I then proceeded to put them under 24/7 and out og 20 clones 16 of them reverted back to veg in about 3 weeks.
I now have about 15 very healthy plants. You have to put them under a veg cycle though. You are'nt likely to get clones to veg on a 12/12 cycle.

Good luck!
