I harvested two weeks ago.Hung to dry for one week, put in sealed bowl where its still at.Tried it last night,3 tokes from a bong(its still too wet for a joint)its some of the best weed i have ever smoked! It has a very hyper buzz,no sleepy here.My question:when I harvested I cut everything but a few little leaves off the plant(its in a container outdoors)it is 7 months old.I took 5 3inch cuttings and dipped them in root tone and stuck them in oasis cubes,of course i had to cut them at both ends,to remove the buds. Will these cuttings make it,you know, being cut at both ends? Will they not get very tall? How long before I see roots?I have cloned hundreds of plants but never mj.(Its my job Im a grower!)

No, they won't make it if you have cut both sides of it. The plant has no way of photosynthesizing without the leaves or the top.

I,ve taken cuttings from hundreds of plants over the years, one thing i've learned is that woody cuttings always do better than green cuttings.I left enough leaf from the bud on top to photosynth. There is one nodule in the root cube with 3 of the cuttings, the other 2 have no nodules except toward the top.Every plant I've ever cloned(excluding m j)seems to root this way.Why would you think its not possible?I'm not trying to sound arrogant, its just that I can't wait for these babies to root, you know what I mean!?I'd just like to know if I'm waisting my time...I'm pretty sure the 2 with no nodules won't root.

Hi, maandpa; nice to see you're already moving...

One thing that MJ has different from many other plants is the fact of dying after flowering, unless you do something about it (reveg ).

If you want to clone a flowering plant near the end, you should first reveg and then clone; Otherwise, you will force a growing tip to revert to veg state and then root, lowering your chances of success.

You should have signs of rooting in 4/10 days from mj plants in vegetative state, who knows when flowering!

Anyway, MJ is not a hard plant to clone (generaly), and i definitively like to use green cuttings, aldo i tried woody with good success.

I don't think you'll have good results, but i hope i'm wroung...
