![]() | OMG....A friend was moving and asked me to keep her two females in my grow room. They are scrawny little things(and I mean scrawny). anyway the prob is I was lowering my lights and lopped the head off the bigger one. I grabbed it up stuck it in some water and cut a little more off (for air bubbles right?) and stuck it in a styrafom cup in moist dirt and am praying that it will live. Any suggestions on my unplanned cloning? And will her scrawny plant survive? thanks WQ

![]() | Remove all the leaves from the lower internodes, leave just the new grow and the first set of leaves after it; Do not keep the soil moist, let it dry a bit to force her to root ![]() Do not expose the clones to strong lights before they root! Other then that, just be patient... Peace, wolf

![]() | thanks wolfman. I hadn't pulled the lower leaves off yet. They are starting to wilt anyway. I have the guy under 2 25 watt flos so I think the lighting should be okay. It has been 3 days and it is still green. I had been keeping the soil moist but will let it dry out a bit. I hope she will be okay. My friend was really upset. But the plant was sad looking anyway...LOL Thanks again WQ

![]() | and, IMHO, I think the girl you beheaded will be fine, altho' she and her scrawny sis need good soil, nutes, and plenty o' light (much more than the two 25W fluoros you're using for the new clone) ... in fact, accidental beheading is probably the way "Stoned" Age Man invented mj cloning -- right after he discovered fire to light his pipe!!! B4 then he probably just made MJ brownies outta mammoth poop. ![]() [Edited by DikkiBrd on 11-04-2000 at 10:26 PM]

![]() | Dikkibird, The mom is doing fine. I transplanted her and her sis into bigger pots and started ferts. Although, at a reduced rate as they had never had them. They are about 6 inches tall with the leaves only being an inch long and they had started flowering. I have them both under 24 hour lighting right now but I am not sure if they ever be what they could be. The accidental clone didn't make it. Unfortunately, I was very unrepaired. And since this is only my 2nd grow and have never cloned before I hadn't the chance to look at the cloning section to get some info. Thanks for you advice. WQ ps oh the lights are much better for the big girls than the light I had set up for the clones. And have told my friend that they couldn't have the other plants back. I was like cps for weed plants...LOL.
